Sarah Maria Taylor was born on the 7th of January 1974 in Boulder Colorado. Her parents are popular rock-stars Carly Simon and James Taylor. Sarah is related to Lucy Simon, Joanna Simon, and Peter Simon who are her mother’s siblings. From her dad’s side, she is the niece of uncles Alex Taylor and Livingston Taylor and an aunt known as Kate Taylor.
Maria Taylor has a brother named Benjamin ‘Ben’ Simon Taylor who was born on the 22nd of January 1977. Ben is also a musician who has been doing quite well too.
Sally Taylor as she is fondly called, had her college education in Tabor Academy Marion, Massachusetts. Afterward, she moved on to Brown University where she studied Medical anthropology.

Sarah retired from teaching music in order to focus on building this community of artists.
9. Her Parents No Longer Have A Relationship
Carly Simon and James Taylor, Sally’s parents, are no longer together. They got married on the 3 rd of November 1972 but got divorced in 1983. They both went on to start other relationships and in 1987, Simon got married to James Hart.
James Taylor also got married to Kathryn Walker in 1985 but divorced in 1995. He went on to get remarry Caroline Smedvig in 2001. Caroline birthed twin sons named Rufus and Henry for the musician.

As an activist and philanthropist, Sally goes all out to help out in her own ways to various causes. A vegan, she converted a Volkswagen van to a food cart that features vegan and raw foods.
The name of this venture is called ‘Sally in the Raw’ and the action is aimed at encouraging vegan living.
