On September 4, 2022, the ‘Best Battler Rapper’ was stabbed near Waterfront, Halifax, Nova Scotia. According to his brother, Pete Stay was stabbed in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Although the police got a report about the stabbing, it wasn’t linked to the father of two, initially. However, Malyssa’s lover and baby dada was confirmed to be the victim of the attack. The rapper did not die on the spot, according to reports. He succumbed to the fatality of his injuries after being rushed to the hospital where he died at the age of 36.
Patrick Wayne ‘Pat’ Stay’s death came days after the rap artist released a diss track to The Game. ‘The Game Diss’ was in response to The Game’s diss track of Eminem popular as ‘The Black Slim Shady’.
The track came after he challenged the American rapper born Jayceon Terrell Taylor, to a rap battle. In response to this, Malyssa’s lover instead, got blocked by the rapper. He then went on to release the track directed as a response to the initial diss track. According to Pat, he had produced the song a long time ago and was waiting for the perfect time to release it.
