At a young age, Moira’s parents were divorced and her mother was given custody of her. In a short while, her father tried to kidnap her which forced her and her mother to go into hiding in Olongapo.

Moira who is popular for her high pitched range was discovered at the age of 20 in 2013 when Moira joined the first season of The Voice of the Philippines when she was under Coach apl.de.ap. Soon after, she was evicted, but that was until she was noticeable.
In 2014, the singer released her very first independent single, Love Me Instead. 2 years later in 2016, her career expanded when she performed the soundtracks of films Camp Sawi and Love You to the Stars and Back.
Moira Dera Torre has throughout the years been involved in many music activities that include making singles, EPs, Album and performing on different stages as a singer. One of her most notable performances is in February 2018 when the Tapguan concert sold out in 4 days on its first night.

This Fillipines singer and songwriter is a practising Christian who does not intend to impose her beliefs on others. Her interest in God makes her drive pleasure in writing and performing worship songs.

One of the many things Moira had to endure in her life before fame was how she suffered from an eating disorder – anorexia!
She developed the disorder at the age of 12 and had to endure bullies for quite a while. However, she began to gain herself back and make the decision to build her body after she saw the tears of her mother.
Although a painful experience, it has equally shaped the life and career of Moira Dela Torre. It is one of the many experiences that inspire her music which has equally contributed to her being tagged as the queen of emotions.

Moira currently does not have a child but he’s been married to Jason Marvin Hernadez since January 2019. Hernandez is also a musician who co-writes some of Torre’s songs such as Ikaw at Ako. He also wrote Kabanata at a time they had a misunderstanding.
Before they became a couple, Jason and Moira were best friends who met at the De La Salle – College of St. Benilde at the time they were taking up music production.
