Jlo and Ben Affleck have once again made headlines after resuming a relationship that died 17 years ago, bringing back the famous moniker ‘Bennifer’. They started dating in 2002 after co-starring in the 2003 film Gigli. That same year the pair got engaged.
Their wedding slated for September 2003 was postponed, and they split in January 2004. So many years after going their separate ways, the two rekindled their love in 2021 when a kissing photo of them emanated, sending the media and their fans into a wild frenzy.

The pair first bumped into each other in 2001 during the filming of Gigli. By the end of the movie, they two fell in love, but Affleck denied claims that they weren’t involved, saying they were friends.
In 2002, the Gigli co-stars made their relationship public after the singer and actress filed for divorce from Cris Judd. She and Affleck went on to feature in her music video “Jenny From the Block” on 5th November 2002. That same month and year, the duo starred in their second movie together Jersey Girl.
The film’s director, Kevin Smith coined “Bennifer” for the pair during the shooting of the movie. The two confirmed their engagement during an interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC on 11th November 2002.
According to reports, the Pearl Harbor actor proposed to Jlo with a custom-made 6-carat pink diamond ring in Boston. How Jlo and Ben Affleck Got Back Together
Jlo and Affleck reawakened the relationship they walked away from 17 years ago in 2021. Before that, the pair have shown signs about the possibility of rekindling their relationship without even voicing it out. They have been doing this through different interviews granted to the media and other platforms.
For instance, the California-born actor said that the Anaconda actress should have received an Oscar nomination for her performance in the 2019 film Hustlers. According to him, it is amazing to have her biggest hit movie at 50.
In early January 2021, the actor said that people who say sexist and racist things about her that wouldn’t be acceptable now. He said if the ugly and unpleasant things written about her are written now, the person concerned would be fired.
Sometime in April 2021, reports say that the pair were spending time together at the actresses’ Los Angeles home. The reports say the actor was picked up in a white Escalade SUV that allegedly belongs to the singer and actress and stops at her nearby mansion.
Unknown sources say the pair were friends. While another source revealed that the duo hung out and had a good time. This came a few days after pictures of the two emerged in separate vehicles.

That’s not all, more pictures of them emerged when they were photographed coming down the staircase together in Miami. It was alleged that he started putting on a watch that he always puts on when he dated the actress in the past.
Then on 1st June 2012, a picture of the two was taken when they were wrapped in each other arms in California. Based on the photos, the pair could be seen walking together and heading to Chef Wolfgang’s new restaurant at the Pendry hotel in West Hollywood.
Two weeks later, a video emerged in which they were seen kissing, leaning, and talking at a table. They made the first appearance on the red carpet since getting back together on 10th September 2021 at the premiere of Affleck’s film “The Last Duel” at the Venice Film Festival.
