Coko Clemons is an American singer and songwriter who is better known as Coko on June 13 1970 in The Bronx, New York, the United States. She was brought up by her mother Lady Tibba Gamble as an only child. However, there is not much information that is available about her father.
Because her mother is a gospel singer, she also got introduced to singing at an early age and by the time she was three years old, she started learning to sing. She soon joined her church choir when she was still a little girl in The Lord’s Church in Bronx, New York.
As regards her education, the singer went to the Walton High School although there is no indication that she continued with her education after this as she continued with her music on a professional basis.

The singing career of Coko started when she was 12 years old when she sang in the New York Community Choir before she became a member of the Hezekiah Walker’s Love Fellowship Crusade Choir.
In 1988, she joined her childhood friends Tamara “Taj” Johnson and Leanne “Lelee” Lyons to form the Sisters With Voices (SWV) gospel group. The group was later signed by RCA records, helping it to get the attention of the world. The group was together from 1988 until 1998 when it disbanded. Mike Clemons and Coko met back in the 1990s when he played the drum for SWV. At the time, their relationship was said to be professional. They later started dating before getting married in 2003.
