Chantal Claret was born on 21 February 1982 in Berkeley, California. Her parents, Foster and Monique are fervent art collectors. She is currently 43 years old.
Her mother is a Romanian-born who lived between 1947 and 2004. She spent her childhood in New York but has also lived in Texas. Clarets is currently married to James Euringer(Jimmy Urine).

Claret always wanted to be a music video director. Before her meeting with Pedro Yanowitz, she was attending film school.
The two met at a party. Shortly after, they started writing songs together. Something Pedro was familiar with, having worked with others.
The two formed an alternative rock band, Morningwood in 2001. Songs they wrote formed part of the band’s first album.
Claret was the lead singer while Pedro did the bass and backing vocals. Pedro produced some of the Morningwood songs.
The band folded after Claret went solo in 2012. She became a resident at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino for three months in Las Vegas.

Chantal and her husband, Euringer met while on tour with their bands. Morningwood was supporting James’ band, Mindless Self Control. While on stage, James jumped and came over to say hi to Chantal.
She thought he trying to be nice not knowing he had heard her songs and had a crush on her.
They discovered they had a lot in common. Both of them grew up in New York and had been to the same parties. Since both of them were touring at the time, they met in the country. They later moved in together in L.A.
While they were in love with each other, they got engaged in 2007 but had only five days to plan their wedding. They had the party in their L.A. Backyard.

Chantal and Riley Breckenridge, drummer of Thrice wrote a monthly column. The advice column, Battle Of The sexes was written in Alternative press magazine.
After three years of writing the advice column, it ended in the Winter of 2007.
3. Her Husband Was Horrible At Emails
When they first met, James gave Chantal his email address. She later discovered he was horrible at using his email. It took him weeks to respond to emails.
Despite this, she always felt better after reading his emails. Her heart would skip a bit after he replied.
4. Her Husband Is The Lead Singer Of Mindless Self Indulgence
Mindless Self Indulgence is a multi-genre music band formed in 1997 in New York City. Jimmy Urine was the founder and was later joined by Steve and Urine’s brother Marcus Euringer.
As the lead singer of the band, he wrote most of their songs. He recorded over thirty-five songs using crude instruments. This was even before the band came into being.
Describing the MSI kind of music, Chantal said shefirst saw it as ‘turn that goddam music down’ music.
She later fell in love with the lead singer and the MSI after seeing his performance.
5. Why Did They Move To New Zealand?
They always had the plan of living outside the years. Their options on London were not successful after a little trial.
The Brexit was not easy for them to live in London. They tried the next option which was new Zealand since they had friends.

Their union had great blessings when they realized their twins were on the way. They announced that they were expecting twins via Instagram in 2019.
In an interview, James revealed they conceived their girls in a Peka Peka beach house in New Zealand.
Their twin girls, Georgia and Isadora arrived on June 23, 2019.
Chantal praises James for being good for the girls and herself. In an article she wrote for the New York Times, she said pregnancy affected her creative drive.
