Born in Tyler, Texas, the United States on the 3rd of December 1983 to parents – Boyd and Kim Dupree, Sherri Dupree grew up in a close-knit family where her father was the only income earner. What he earned as a graphic designer wasn’t enough to meet all the needs of his family of eight people.
They were homeschooled and taught to sing by their parents. Music was always part of her life while growing up as their parents were always involved in music. Her father played the drums in high school and her mom sang pretty well. Even though they never pressured any of their children to take up music, it came naturally to them.
Despite having musically inclined parents, Sherri has revealed that they were never pushy about her going into music. They were just really supportive because they were musical, and they understood it and loved it. She grew up singing together with her siblings and their parents teaching them to harmonize.
Even though she never had any formal training in music, she just basically harnessed her God-given talent and made a career out of it. Sherri did have guitar training and she started when she was 12.
After discovering her songwriting talent, she began a band with her elder sister Chauntelle and younger sister- Stacy. Their first official band was named Eisley and it consisted of Sherri, Chauntelle, Stacy, and Weston. Presently, the remaining recording/touring members are Sherri and her cousin Garron DuPree.

Chad Gilbert Was Her First Husband For Less Than A Year
Sherri’s marriage to Gilbert was very short. It was the first attempt at matrimony for both of them and they got married and divorced within the same year (2007).
According to someone named Cass on Twitter, the marriage lasted only 9 months because Chad was a serial cheater who would go on to cheat on Hayley Williams with her best friend. The marriage only lasted from 2016 to 2017.

Max Bemis Became Her Second Husband
After a failed marriage, Sherri met and fell in love with another musician, Max Bemis who is famous as the lead singer of the band Say Anything. They got married in 2009 and have successful built a family alongside their burgeoning musical careers. The couple has welcomed four children together.
The singer came out in 2018 to reveal that he has always identified himself as “bi-ish” or “queer.” He stated that although he fell in love and got married to Sherri, his sexuality has still not changed.

Social media has its good and bad but Sherri has chosen not to be affected by the negative comments of naysayers on her pages especially on Instagram where she is most active.
