Lean Gieseke is From Bremen, North-West Germany
Lena Gieseke, currently 59 years old, was born on September 12, 1965, and raised in Bremen, a town located in the North-West region of Germany. While not so much has been established about her parents and other family members, we learned that her father was a businessman while her mother was primarily a homemaker.
As for her education, she was enrolled at the California School of Arts where she bagged a degree in photography and Fine Arts. She later attended the prestigious Wimbledon College of Arts and Goldsmith College where she further honed her artistic skills.
Thereafter, she moved to the Universitat Koblenz in 2000 and obtained a bachelor of science degree in Computer Graphics. Following her graduation, she worked for a while before going to the University of Georgia where she earned a Master of Fine Arts in Dramatic Media. A few years after her graduation, she was given an award by the University for her dedication and hard work in the field of digital media.
Her academic achievements did not stop there. She was later awarded a scholarship for a Ph.D. in Digital Media Doctoral program at the University of Stuttgart which she completed in 2018.
Tim Burton’s Ex-Wife is a Profesor and Visual Artist
Tim Burton’s ex-wife is a woman of many hats excelling not only in visual arts but also in academia. At present, she holds the position of professor of Visual Media Technology at the Bablesberg KONRAD WOLF and has been working there since 2016. This was a few months after working at Furwangen University as a visiting lecturer and serving as a doctoral researcher at Promotionskolleg Digital Media where she made valid contributions and research.
According to her LinkedIn page, she worked as a visual artist for several years, she started off as a 3D artist with Perpetual Motion in 2006 and was part of the German movie”Knight: The Search For The Lovely Princess Herzelinde. The following year, she worked as a 3D freelancer at Method in Motion, California. Her skills and talent soon got her working with Scanlife VFX in the visual effects department as the Scripting and Pipeline TD and RD.
Some of her works as a Visual artist include When Santa Fell to Earth (2011), Hotel Lux (2011), Immortals (2011), and Otto’s Eleven (2010).
Lena also explored other aspects of visual effects and would later work as an application developer for 3DXcite and animator for productions such as Berlin 36 and Vicky the Viking.

Lena Gieseke and Tim Burton’s Marriage Ended in 1991
As hinted already, Lena Gieseke and Tim Burton were once a couple. The pair first crossed paths at a party in London sometime in the ’80s and soon became friends. She was later invited to a photoshoot for Burton’s 1989 superhero film “Batman” and that was where love sparkled between them.
Lena and Tim dated for a while before getting married on February 24, 1987. Their wedding ceremony was held in a close ceremony witnessed by close friends and family members. Following their marriage, the couple maintained a private life away from the media until news of their divorce made waves in some time in 1991. Lena noted that her then-husband Tim had a complicated and robust personality which she couldn’t deal with. Contrarily, other sources report that their split was linked to infidelity. Tim was said to be having an affair with the American model and actress, Lesa Marie.
Since their divorce, Lena has remained unmarried. She has also kept information about her love life away from the public. Nonetheless, the same can not be said of her husband who is currently in a relationship with the Italian actress and model Monica Bellucci.
