He was born sometime in 1963 and passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the age of 59 after suffering a brain hemorrhage while on tour. The news of his passing was announced on the band’s official website, where it was stated that Swinny was discovered on the morning of March 21, 2023, in medical distress, and was rushed to the ICU after the paramedics were called.

Biography Of Wayne Swinny
Wayne Swinny was born on November 1, 1963, in Memphis, Tennessee. Although details about his childhood and family background are unavailable at the time of this writing, he reportedly started playing guitar at the age of 15.
In his early 30s, Swinny co-founded Saliva alongside Josey Scott Sappington, Todd Poole, Dave Novotny, and Chris D’Abaldo in Memphis, Tennessee in 1996. Later that year, he and the band recorded a demo tape, which was selected out of many other local bands, to perform at a local competition, and ranked first.
Consequently, Swinny and the band made it to the regional showcase in Austin, Texas, in 1997, where they advanced to the national finals after coming first. At the national finals, Saliva came in second place and won lots of consolation prizes such as money, equipment, and tickets to the 39th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony at Madison Square Garden, New York City. That year marked a crucial beginning for not just the band but also for Swinny.

Wayne Swinny Died At 59 Due To Brain Hemorrghe
On Wednesday, March 22, 2023, the news of Wayne Swinny’s demise was announced by his band, Saliva. He died at the age of 59 after he was diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage.
According to a statement on the band’s website, the guitarist was found in medical distress on the morning of Tuesday, March 21, 2023, paramedics were called, and was rushed to the hospital where he was diagnosed with a spontaneous brain hemorrhage. The statement further indicated he was put in the ICU and the band solicited prayers on his behalf.
Following his death, his band members, including fans showed solidarity with his family by sending their condolences. The band’s lead singer, Bobby Amaru talked about his relationship with the late guitarist saying he shared 12 years of his life, and learned so much from Swinny who was like the older brother he never had.
