The 17–year-old is also an entrepreneur who owns a lip gloss, doll, and accessory brand. She signed a deal with Nickelodeon in 2018.

Alaya High was born in Houston, Texas, on January 28, 2007, to Rapper, Acie High and his wife. However, she is not the only child of her parents as she grew up with a sibling. She is currently 17 years old.
The young rapper is said to have attended elementary and primary school. Despite her fame, she did not allow it to deter her from pursuing her education. She went on to attend a local high school in Houston.
Due to her fame and schedule, Alaya ended up being homeschooled to enable her to have time to chase her career in music.

Subsequently, she recorded her first single at the age of five. She has gone ahead to record many other songs including Go, Lay Lay, Go (2018), Mama (2019), Get To Lovin (2019), Stop Playin (2020), Tik Tok (2021), and Remix (2022).
2. Alaya High Came to Limelight After Her Parents Posted a Video of Her Online
When the American singer was 11 years old, she asked her father to record her while she was rapping. He did and put it out. The video went viral and she got noticed by different people.
Subsequently, she became a known name in the industry and has gone ahead to win a couple of awards to cement her success. Some of the awards she has won are Crown Awards in the Young CROWN Award category and Women in Toys, Licensing, & Entertainment in the Wonder Girl Award, all in 2022. 4. That Girl Lay Lay is the Youngest Rapper to Sign a Major Record Deal
On August 2018, Alaya became the youngest female rapper to sign a major record deal. She signed the deal at the age of 11. The 17–year-old signed a recording contract with Empire.
She announced it on her Instagram page where she wrote “It’s Official!!! I am the YOUNGEST FEMALE RAP ARTIST to sign a record deal”. At the time she was not even a teenager yet.
Other artists who have been signed to the record label include 50 Cent, Aaliyah, Iggy Azalea, Busta Rhymes, and Sean Kingston.
5. She is also an Entrepreneur
The Go Lay Lay Go crooner is an entrepreneur. She launched a lip gloss brand called Lyrics. These glosses are packaged in cute microphone-shaped containers and sold on her website.
Asides from her lip gloss brand, she also has her own doll and accessory line.
6. Alaya High has a Show Named After her
The Atlanta-born singer has signed an overall deal with Nickelodeon in 2020. The deal includes pacts like creating content for the channel, developing multiplatform programming, and music initiatives while promoting herself, and her brand.
The channel has created a comedy series titled “That Girl Lay Lay”, which is named after the musical artist. It features her as the main character, Gabrielle Neveah Green, Tiffany Daniels, Tomas Hobson, and Peyton Perrine III.
The show has run its first and is currently in its second season on the channel.

7. The 17-Year-Old Is a Fitness Enthusiast
Lay loves keeping fit, it is one of the ways she prepares for her performances. Her most preferred way to stay fit is yoga and sometimes, running.
When asked why she works out so hard, Lay revealed that it is important to be fit while performing on stage. She added that she wants to be like Beyonce when she performs, referring to the energy the singer uses in her performances. Alaya also disclosed that she exercises while rapping.
