She was born Maristella Canedo Racal on September 22, 1997 in Tagum, Davao del Norte, Philippines. Maris is the 5th of 6 children all of whom are, in one way or another, into music.
She attended and graduated from St. Mary’s college, Tagum. However, she had already started showcasing her talent in singing from a young age. She, born into the Catholic faith, used to sing responsorial psalms and at other times during the mass.

In line with her dream of becoming a doctor, she enrolled at the Trinity University of Asia to read Medical Technology. Racal and Blanco have been in a romantic relationship since the 24th of March 2019. Rico is a Filipino entertainer who is fluent in playing multi-instruments, singing, and writing songs.
