The third husband Sinead O’Connor married is Australian-Irish musician, Steve Cooney. He married her on July 22, 2010, and divorced in March 2011.

He met O’Connor for the first time in August 2011 at a coffee shop on South William Street and asked her to marry him. She didn’t say yes to him until much later. He then proposed to her with a gold Claddagh engagement ring set with a ruby.
On December 8, 2011, the couple married in Las Vegas’ Little White Chapel. Unfortunately, O’Connor wanted to get high on the same wedding night and was given crack cocaine. She later blogged about it, lamenting her conduct and the consequences for Herridge’s professional career as a therapist.
