Phil Bozeman was born on September 8, 1985, in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Many details about his childhood and education have not been made public, but he grew up as the last among four siblings and the only male. In addition, he had a rough childhood having to grow up in the company of an abusive stepfather after losing his own biological father.

Bozeman’s ability to make music started earlier in life and by the time he was 15, he had already joined a music band called “Psychotic Behaviour” as a guitarist. The group was formed in 2000 and in 2006, it fell apart.
Bozeman’s dream of music did not end with the death of “Psychotic Behaviour”. Rather, he was moved to do more and in 2006, he started another music band “Whitechapel” with Ben Savage and Brandon Cragle, and were later joined by Alex Wade, Gabe Crisp, and Derek Martin.
As a member of the Whitechapel, the band is credited with the creation of diversified music that includes heaviness and softness. At present, they have been able to record seven studio albums in their years of making music including “The Somatic Defilement”, “This Is Exile”, “Our Endless War”, “A New Era of Corruption and Lane’s Departure”; and “The Valley”.
As a musician, Phil has established himself as one whose lyrics would go on to expose the realities of life in a simple but heavy way. For each of the songs written by Bozeman, he tells different stories of love, war, and the struggles of life as seen in their “Our Endless War” album where each song portrayed different struggles and wars of life people face daily ranging from technology to depression and even suicide.
