The NYPD Blue actor was born on September 14, 1971, in Arlington Heights, a suburb of Chicago. He attended Arlington Heights Park District and Olive Elementary School where he participated in several school plays.
As a child, Healy and his four brothers and parents would move from Lake Zurich to New Jersey and back to Arlington Heights to watch movies.
According to reports, Pat Healy always knew he would become an actor even before attending Buffalo Grove High School. Upon graduating from high school, he enrolled at Illinois State University where he studied theatre.

2. The 53-year-old Actor Started His Career on Stage
Following his graduation from Illinois State University, Healy worked as an intern at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre. He participated in quite a couple of shows in Chicago while he was at the theatre. He later decided to move to Hollywood in 1998 where he spent a few years doing small acting jobs.
