MrBeast, the world-famous American YouTuber, internet personality, and businessman, whose real name is James Stephen “Jimmy” Donaldson, is now engaged!
The popular YouTuber made this revelation himself on social media. MrBeast recently took to his X account to share the special announcement with his followers, sparking a flurry of congratulatory messages from his many fans on the internet.
On the 1st of January 2025, the YouTube giant shared a photo of himself kneeling with a ring before his girlfriend, Thea Booysen. The couple, who have been dating since April 2022, are now taking their relationship to the next level with a marriage proposal.
During the proposal, Jimmy and Thea were surrounded by their family members who were all in on the surprise and who were all dressed in festive Christmas sweaters. A photo accompanying the announcement featured a diamond ring on Thea’s hand against the backdrop of a Christmas tree.
The engagement post was captioned: “So I kinda did a thing.. 🥰”
For the record, Thea Booysen is a multifaceted South African personality, who is well celebrated as a content creator and author. Having been born and raised in Cape Town, she has made a name for herself in the digital world and has proven to have diverse talents and achieved academic accomplishments.
Also, her academic achievements are quite remarkable, with degrees in law and psychology from Stellenbosch University. She furthered her education by obtaining a master’s degree in neuropsychology from the University of Edinburgh.
