Mitchell Adam Lucker was born on October 20, 1984, in Riverside, California in the United States to parents Kip Lucker and Denise.
His love for music started early and his loved ones were quick to notice. By the time he was about 12 to 13 years old, he was gifted his first guitar by his father, Kip.
To further encourage him, his father bought him and his brother some recordings of different artists.
Some of his early musical influences are the American bands, Slayer and Deftones; and the Brazillian heavy metal band, Sepultura.

Mitch Lucker started music in his brother’s garage band. It was then that he discovered his unique sound that later saw the success of his career performing on different stages and in different cities.
His professional career started in 2000 at the age of 16 with Breakaway band which later became Dying Dreams. With the band, Lucker served as a vocalist while his brother Cliff was its guitarist.
His Major Career Breakthrough was in 2007
Before Dying Dreams broke up in 2002, Mitch was already called to join Suicide Silence. Although he contributed to the release of several songs and a self-titled EP, it was in 2007 that the band released their debut album, “The Cleansing”.
The album became a huge success and was a major career breakthrough for Lucker. It debuted at number 94 on the Billboard 200 and also sold 7,200 copies in its first week of release.
On June 30, 2009, the band released their No Time to Bleed album. It peaked at No. 32 on Billboard 200 and sold 14,000 copies in the United States alone in its first week of release.
Mitch’s last album with the band, “The Black Crown” was released on July 12, 2011. The album was produced by Steve Evetts and had 11 tracklists.
It remains one of the most successful of Mitch’s works as it peaked at the third position on the US Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums. It also peaked at 6 and 7 on US Billboard Independent Albums ad US Top Rock Albums respectively.

Mitch Lucker’s father, a Sheriff had an obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) that Mitch inherited. This disorder causes people to suffer from distressing thoughts or repetitive behaviors.
The medication for this disorder made Mitch Lucker feel like a zombie which led to his moving to a more natural solution. He then began to sample prescription drugs and later morphine and heroin.

Mitch’s death was caused by the injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident that happened on October 31, 2012, in Huntington Beach. He crashed into a light pole.
The accident reportedly happened at 8:55 p.m. on Halloween night when he rode a motorcycle while drunk. It has also been recorded that his wife Jolie tried to stop him from leaving the house but couldn’t.
Whatever the case, the artist died a day after the accident on November 1, 2012, at the age of 28 in Huntington Beach, California.
About 2 hours before the death, he posted an image on social media. In the picture, he disguised himself as a corpse with the caption:
