Manuel Medrano started pursuing his music career in 2014 but he released his first independent single in 2015 and the track went viral and became his lucky charm. after he signed with Warner Music, he released his first single under the label Bajo el Agua and the song reached over 500 million views on YouTube and also gained massive radio airplay.

While it is not clear how they met and when they started dating, it is clear that the relationship came to an end early in 2021.
