Once upon a time, Kim Reeder found love in the arms of the late British singer Andy Gibb, and they married as teenagers. Unfortunately, the marriage only lasted a few years because Gibb’s fame got the better of him, and he began drinking and using drugs.

For the most part, Reeder didn’t realize she was pregnant until after separating from him. Returning to Australia, she gave birth to their daughter, Peta Gibb, 10 days after their divorce was finalized. Sadly, Gibb died of myocarditis, a type of heart disease, in March 1988, at the age of 30.

While You May Be Wondering How Kim Reeder Met Andy Gibb, It All Goes Back To Their High School Days In Australia

Although Kim Reeder’s early life and family background are unknown, she was born and raised in Australia. She enrolled in a high school when she was of high school age, and it was then that she met Andy Gibb, who was born in England but whose family relocated to Queensland in Australia when he was a toddler. For the two, it was more of love at first sight, but they didn’t get their “Happy ever after” as the marriage didn’t last.

Kim and Andy married on July 11, 1976, and moved to West Hollywood, California, from Australia. However, their marriage was marred by misunderstandings when the singer began using drugs, which Kim did not approve of. They eventually divorced in 1977.

Kim had no idea she was pregnant at the time of their divorce. She discovered it after they had already split up.

Peta Gibb, the singer’s ex-wife’s daughter, was born on January 25, 1978, ten days after their divorce was formalized. Kim went to Australia after the marriage ended, where she reared their kid away from her father, who was already involved in drugs and celebrity. Peta was never able to meet her father.
