The stuck up a conversation and then after their first date, Chad da Don knew he had found the one for himself. They had connections through their music but more than that, they believed they were both spiritual enough to have a good relationship.
With close to 10 years age difference between them, Chad da Don did not mind that Kelly was way older than him and she did not mind that he was younger.

The exact date that the started dating was not revealed, but they were together as of 2018. By 2019 when it was claimed that they were married, the two had already broken up and returned a number of times.
According to them, one of the reasons they broke up at a time was because they suffered a spiritual attack. Kelly Khumalo claimed she was going through a spiritual journey that she felt Chad did not understand, leading to their breakup.
Believing that everything was settled and they were now good for each other, Chad da Don invited Kelly to the Itaga Private Game Lodge with her family, kids, and his family. He got down on a knee and proposed to her with a ring with gold rose and 40 ‘natural round’ diamonds.

At the time when they were very much in love, the couple had a matching tattoo of the initials of each other’s name with crowns on their ring fingers. The duo had the tattoos in December of 2018. When the relationship finally ended, Kelly decided to cover the tats linking her to her ex-lover with feathers.
