Claudio Puelles is a Peruvian mixed martial artist who competes in the Lightweight division of UFC. Also called the Prince of Peru, Claudio started training in Muay Thai at the early age of 13.

Famous as the Prince of Peru, Claudio Puelles was born on April 21, 1996, in Lima Peru. He was raised by his parents alongside his only brother Sandro. Although it is known that his parents are Peruvian, His parents especially his mother have supported him in his career as a professional fighter.
Also known as El Niño, the Peruvian fighter started training in Muay Thai in 2009. He did a little grappling before he became an MMA fighter.
Puelles’ professional MMA career started in 2013 when he found mainly in Peru and garnered a record of 7-1 before joining Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 3. During his debut at 300 Sparta 2 in Lima, he faced Angel Alvarez.
After winning several fights, Claudio had his first professional MMA loss on July 30, 2014. He lost via unanimous decision to David Cubas at Inka FC: Inka Warriors 1.
By the time he was 22, he joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship where he faced Felipe Silva in his debut fight. Also, he competed in the third season of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 3 series under Team Chuck Liddell. His win against Marcelo Rojo earned him a spot to fight against Martin Bravo on November 5, 2016, at the Ultimate Fighter Latin America 3 Finale.
On November 5, 2016, Claudio Puelle made his official UFC debut against Martin Bravo in Mexico City at the Ultimate Fighter Latin America 3 Finale. Sadly, he lost the fight in the second round by TKO.
On May 19, 2018, the MMA fighter faced Felipe Silva at UFC Fight Night: Maia vs Usman. He won the fight via submission in round three. For his submission, he gained a Performance of the Night bonus award.
He also won by unanimous decision on September 21, 2019, after facing Marcos Mariano at UFC Fight Night: Rodriguez vs. Stephens. He would again face Jordan Leavitt at UFC Fight Night and still win by unanimous decision.
From June 2021 to December 4, 2021, Claudio Puelles had not less than two bouts in which he won both. His performance continued to garner more performance of the Night awards.
Puelles has been scheduled to face Dan Hooker(21-12-0) on November 12, 2022, at UFC 281. Since making his debut in 2013, the fighter is yet to win any title or championship.
