Bobby Heenan was born Raymond Louis Heenan to his parents on November 1, 1944. Records have it that he was raised in Chicago, Illinois, alongside other members of his family. It’s hard to tell if Bobby was the only child of his parents since details about his other siblings have not been captured.
Bobby’s father, Robert was a railroad worker while his mother Mildred Bernadette Kambrcz was a hotel manager. Following his parent’s low-income jobs at that time, Bobby dropped out of school in the eighth grade to assist his parents.

Bobby is remembered as a man of many hats even though he is mostly associated with his career in World Wrestling Entertainment as a wrestler and wrestling manager. He revealed that his passion for getting smacked was an instant attraction at the age of 10 following the first match he witnessed.
Consequently, Bobby thrived his way into the ring in the mid-60s and wrestled with the likes of Calvin “Prince” Pullins, and Guy Mitchell. He soon became a sought-after wrestler and was occasionally booked to train and manage upcoming wrestlers who he termed “The Heenan Family”.
As a wrestling manager, he has managed wrestlers like; King Kong Bundy, Haku, and Andre The Giant in WWF. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004.
It was during his career in the WWE that his other talents began to sprout. Bobby would fill in as a commentator and comedian during short breaks and soon enough, he was given a place in the WWF and thereafter WCW media space for commentary duties. You wouldn’t search so hard to find that Bobby was Cynthia’s husband for 39 years. From what we gathered, they met sometime in the 70s and their friendship quickly sprang into a romance that made them exchange vows in 1978 precisely on June 21.
Bobby and Cynthia enjoyed many years of marital bliss which saw them welcome their only child Jessica Heenan now Jessica Slot and two grandchildren; Austin and Hannah.
Unfortunately, death snatched Bobby from his wife and family in 2017.

Bobby Heenan Died After a Prolonged Battled with Throat Cancer
Bobby is one wrestling manager and commentator whose death shook a lot of people including Mack Rawden who remembers him as one of the greatest managers and broadcasters in the history of wrestling.
Bobby suffered several stages of lung cancer which compromised vital organs of his body and finally claimed his life. According to reports, Bobby was first diagnosed with lung cancer in 2002 and was subjected to a wide range of treatments which left him almost unrecognizable.
Asides series of therapies and surgeries, he underwent jaw reconstruction which was forwarded by a medically induced coma. Following that, he was unable to speak and only used his eyes for communication. Bobby’s condition also led to many falls that left him with a broken shoulder, a broken hip, and a fractured pelvis
In all this, his wife Cynthia was his support system. She was up and running to see that he made it through the dreaded disease but sadly, he passed on at the age of 72 at his home in Largo, Florida, on September 18, 2017.

Sad news braced the media on July 18, 2022, following the passing of Bobby’s wife Cynthia. This comes just 5 years after her husband was laid to rest.
Details about the cause of her death are still unknown, however, the mother of one was 74 years old at the time she died. Cindy as called by many was a supportive wife, caring mother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Jessica, her son-in-law John and two grandchildren; Austin & Hannah.
While fans continue to mourn the death of Bobby’s wife Cindy, his memories are on constant replay as one of the greatest managers of all time. He is greatly missed by many and his legacy continues to live on.
