Sarkaru Vaari Paata is an Indian action-drama film written and directed by Parasuram. The Indian movie featured the likes of Mahesh Babu, Kerrthy Suresh, and Nadhiya Moidu. Following the release of the film in May 2022, it received mixed reviews from both movie critics and audiences. However, the film did well at the box office. It grossed ₹180-230 crore worldwide which made it the second highest-grossing Telugu film of 2022.
Sarkaru Vaari Paata was primarily shot in the United States, Hyderabad, and Dubai. The filming was delayed for a while due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020/2021.

1. Mahesh Babu as Mahesh
Babu has appeared in more than 25 films and has received numerous awards and nominations including eight Nandi Awards, four south Indian International Movie Awards,s and Three CineMAA Awards.
Often called the Prince of Tollywood, Mahesh Babu is one of the most famous and influential actors in Telugu cinema. Besides the 2022 movie, he has been featured in quite a number of movies that are also commercially successful. Some of them include Athadu (2005), Pokiri (2006), Dookudu (2011), and Businessman (2012).
Aside from his acting career, the Indian actor is a humanitarian and a philanthropist. He runs a charitable trust as well as a non-profit organization called Heal-a-child.
2. Keerthy Suresh as Kalaavathi

Keerthy Suresh played the role of Kalaavathi, who collected a loan of US$10K from Mahi for her graduate studies. She is also the daughter of a powerful and influential MP, Rajendranath. In the movie, her character tricked Mahi to grant her a loan from his finance agency but it was not long before he got to know she is a gambling addict.
The 32-year-old Indian actress has featured in quite a number of Telugu and Tamil films such as Ring Master(2014), Idhu Enna Maayam (2015), and Nenu Sailaja (2016). She has received several awards for her acting roles. She won the National Film Award for Best Actress in Mahanati and also three SIIMA Awards and many others. In 2021, she was recognized as Forbes 30 under 30 in 2021.
3. Samuthirakani as MP Rajendranath, Kalaavathi’s father
The role of Kalaavathi’s father, Rajendranath was played by the award-winning actor Samuthirakani. In the movie, Rajendranath is a powerful MP, a Rajya Sabha member, and an industrialist based in Vishakapatnam who runs a company called Rajendranath Associates.
The veteran Indian actor and film director has acted in several films and is well-known for his role in Naadodigal (2009) and Easan (2010). He won a National Film Award for Best Supporting actor in 2016 for his role in the 2015 Indian film, Visaranai.

4. Mahesh Manjrekar as Finance Minister
Mahesh Manjrekar appeared in the movie as the finance minister. Aside from appearing in Sarkaru Vaari Paata, the Indian actor and director have featured in several Hindi and Bhojpuri films. He has received credits for directing the critically acclaimed films Vaastav: The Reality (1999) and Astitva (2000).
Mahesh is a recipient of two Sta Screen Awards and one National Film Award.
5. Nadhiya Moidu as Rajakumari, Senior Bank Official
Nadhiya Moidu is predominantly known for her roles in several Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu films. She appeared in Sarkaru Vaari Paata as a senior bank official, Rajakumari. Besides her role in the movie, the indian actress has appeared inAttarintiki Daredi(2013) and Ghani (2022).
In 2013, she received the Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actress for her excellent performance in Attarintiki Daredi. She also won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
6. Vennela Kishore as Kishore, Mahi’s friend

Indian actor, Vennela Kishore is known for his comic roles in Telugu-language films. He was named Vennela after his first feature film Vennela in 2005. He is a recipient of two Nandi Awards, two SIIMA Awards, and also one IIFA Utsavam Award.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata: Review and Ratings
Following the release of the 2022 film, there have been different reviews about it. First, the movie was labeled a one-man show due to Mahesh’s constant mass dialogues. However, it has been said that the director, Pausharam did an excellent job of introducing Mahesh Babu to the audience.
Quite a number of critics gave their reviews. The News Minute gave a rating of 3/5 stars while The Times of India gave it a rating of 2.5/5 stars.
With an initial budget of ₹60 crore, the movie grossed ₹180-230 crore in its theatrical run despite the poor reception. That made it the second highest-grossing Telugu film of 2022. The film also grossed about ₹160 crore within the first five days of its release.
Within the first week, Sarkaru Vaari Paata grossed ₹151.75 crore (US$19 million)- ₹175.30 crore (US$22 million) worldwide. By the end of its 50-day run, Cinema Express revealed the film grossed about ₹230 crore with a distributor share of ₹126 crore.
