Tony Dow’s wife Lauren Shulkind was born sometime in 1975 and she’s 49 years old. From the records, she was raised in New York. However, there are no established facts about her early and family background we can only assert that she’s a white American.
As for her education, she went to the Kansas City Art Institute where she earned her artist degree.
What Does Tony Dow’s Wife Do For a Living?
Even though Lauren Shulkind is known to everyone as the wife of Tony Dow, she also holds her end as a mosaic artist. Growing up, she was drawn to art and enjoyed painting. It was after her graduation from the art institute that she decided to explore her interest as an artist and it soon became her true calling.

Lauren Shulkind was Married to Tony Dow Until his Death
As you would easily find, Lauren Shulkind and Tony Dow were a couple for 42 years. From our findings, the pair got married the pair met in Kansas City in 1978 while she was working for a McDonald’s restaurant and soon became friends. However, at the time they met, Tony was still married to his ex-wife Carol Marlo.
Be it as it may, Lauren and Tony remained close until he finalized his divorce from Carol in 1980 after being together for 11 years. Following this, he got married to Lauren in June of the same year. Their wedding anniversary was held at Laguna Beach and attended by close friends and family members.
Lauren and Tony shared several years which saw her support him. It started with his struggle with depression and mental illness despite having a successful career in the entertainment industry. Nonetheless, the pair managed to pull through together Tony went on to become a spokesperson for the National Depressive and Manic-Depressive Association. There, he spoke about how depression took a toll on him until his 50s.
Unfortunately, in 2022, Tony went down with pneumonia, and following his recovery, he was diagnosed with kidney cancer which he battled until his death at the age of 77 on July 27, 2022. This was a day after his wife Lauren had mistakenly reported that he had passed but the actor’s team released a statement that she was distraught about the actor’s health and had miscommunicated.

Despite being married for over 4 decades, Lauren and her husband did not welcome any child. The pair were focused on their careers and enjoying one another’s company. They also spend time with their sweet and furry dog Poppy.
However, Tony is the father of one son named Christopher Dow whom he shares with his ex-wife Carol Marlow. His son was born on March 26, 1973, and he’s 51 years old at the moment. Like his father, Christopher also previously pursued a career in the entertainment industry as an actor. He starred as young Wally Cleaver in three episodes of the spin-off to the original series “Leave It To Beaver” which was titled “The New Leave It To Beaver,”. He is married to Melissa and together they share a daughter named Tyla.
Following the actor’s death, Christopher wrote; “He was the best Dad anyone could ask for. He was my coach, my mentor, my voice of reason, my best friend, my best man in my wedding, and my hero..,”
