The American fugitive, Arnoldo Jimenez, 42 became a person of interest following the murder of his wife Estrella Carrera a day after they tied the knot. Carrera was found in the bathtub in her apartment and it was believed she was stabbed to death. At the time her body was found, she was still wearing a silver sequined cocktail dress she wore for their wedding.
At the moment, Jimenez is still on the run. As of May 8, 2019, the FBI added him to the list of the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives. Also, the authorities are offering a reward of $100,000 for any information that would lead to his whereabouts or capture.

Arnoldo Jimenez was born on February 19, 1982, in Texas, United States. He has been described as a 6 feet tall man with a body weight of around 102kg at the time he was last seen.
He is currently 42 years old. His wife on the other hand was 26 years old at the time she was gruesomely murdered.
Jimenez Reportedly Stabbed His Newly Wedded Wife
On May 11, 2012, Jimenez and Carrera, whom he had been dating for some time tied the knot in a city hall ceremony in the presence of their family and friends. The newlyweds were seen together at a nightclub on May 12 and that was the last time they were both seen.
The following day, after Estrella did not go to pick up her kids from her parent’s place, her family became worried and called the police. The police went to her condo in Burbank on May 13 only to find her dead body.
She was reportedly stabbed more than 18 times and left in a pool of her blood in the bathtub.
According to reports, the couple had a volatile relationship and it was believed that they had a heated argument in Jimenez’s black 2006 four-door Maserati after they left the nightclub.
Arnoldo allegedly stabbed his new wife multiple times in his car and then dragged her body to her apartment.
The authorities further revealed that there was no sign of a forced entry into the apartment hence Arnoldo could be responsible since he suddenly disappeared and he was nowhere to be found.
A state warrant was issued for his arrest after he was charged with first-degree murder on May 15. Also, a federal warrant was also issued and Arnoldo Jimenez was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution two days later on May 17.

Before he married Estrella, the pair already had a child. At the time of the murder, his son was two years old. Estrella also had a daughter from a previous relationship. Her daughter was 9 years old and was a pupil at Lee Elementary School on Chicago’s Southwest Side.
Does Arnoldo Jimenez have a Criminal Past?
Following the murder of Estrella, the authorities revealed that Arnoldo had a criminal history and a violent past. Also, it was later discovered that the mother of two was skeptical about marrying him. One of her friends claimed the last time they both spoke, Estrella was not sure about marrying the father of her son.
Also, another friend revealed she told her that the only reason she was going to marry him was that he had threatened to take her kids away from her.
Arnoldo Jimenez Has Not Been Found Yet
According to reports, Arnoldo Jimenez’s phone was tracked and pinned in Chicago and later Southern Illinois, Memphis, Tennessee, and Arkansas. Then on May 13 he reportedly used the phone in Houston and Hidalgo, Mexico.
His brother, Humberto Jimenez was later arrested for drug possession, and his house was searched. While the police were there, they found Arnoldo’s car. It was at that point that the authorities realized Humberto was the one who drove Arnoldo to Mexico.
At the moment, Arnold Jimenez is still in hiding. The police believe he might be in Durango, Mexico, or Reynosa Tamaulipas.
Arnoldo Jimenez became the 522nd fugitive to be placed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list on May 8, 2019. Also, the FBI announced that anyone with information that would lead to his arrest would be rewarded $100,000.
