Tony Dow’s ex-wife was born Carol Marie Theresa Marlow sometime in August 1942 and she’s 82 years old at the moment. It is established that she was raised in Los Angeles, California, United States by her parents Herman Clifford Mirelvits and Cecilia Annette Marlow nee Kresak.
While not so much about her early life and family background is known, we garnered that she wasn’t raised as an only child. Carol grew up alongside her older, brother Gene C. Marlow.
What Does Tony Dow’s Wife Do for a Living?

Carol and Dow Were Married For 11 Years
As hinted, Carol Marlow and Tony Dow were once a couple. It’s unclear how the pair met and when their relationship started. However, the pair would maintain a romantic relationship that saw them get married on June 14, 1969.
Carol and Dow kept their marital life away from the media and spend over a decade as a couple before rumors of their separation began to make waves in their 11th year. To confirm this, the two separated in 1978 and finalized their divorce in 1980. What caused their split was not stated however, we learned that Dow battled anger issues and clinical depression at the time.
While they were separated, Dow met Laurel Skulkind, a mosaic artist whom he married in 1980, three months after his official divorce. It was while married to her that he found a way to fight depression and mental illness. It was also at this time that he opened up about his struggles and soon became the spokesperson for the National Depressive and Manc Depressive Association.
Unfortunately, Tony was diagnosed with cancer and battled it until passed away in July 27, 2022, while receiving hospice care at his home. He was 77 years old at the time.
Carol Marlow is a Mother of One
Carol Marlow and Tony Dow’s union birthed a son named Christopher Down. He was born in Los Angeles on March 26, 1973, and he’s 51 years old at the moment. Like his father, he also pursued a career in the entertainment industry as an actor. He is famed for his role as the younger Wally Cleaver in the spin-off of the original series “Leave It To Beaver”.
Christopher appeared in three episodes of the series which also starred actors like Jerry Mathers, Kipp Marcus, John Snee, and Ken Osmond. However, this is the only acting credit he has to his name. At present, he pursues a career that doesn’t place him in the spotlight.
As for his personal life, Carol’s son is married to Melissa and together they have a daughter named Tyla Dow.
