Uschi Digard is a former Swiss nude model and softcore porn star who was widely known from the late 60s through the early 80s. She rose to prominence when she became a model for the Pretty Girls Agency and was featured on the covers of several top magazines. She later appeared in a number of softcore such as The Only House in Town (1971), Superchick (1973), I Want You (1974), and She Wolf of the SS (1975). Later, she crossed paths with Russ Meyer and made several appearances in his films.
Uschi has since moved away from modeling and acting however, a lot of people are still interested in her life and what she’s up to in her late 70s. This came after she noted that several misconceptions about her have been published. Here’s all to know about her.
The Early Life of Uschi Digard
Uschi Digard was born Ursula Bernell to her parents sometime in the mid-40s. Her date of birth has been recorded as August 15, 1948, by a number of sources, however, she revealed in an interview that this was wrong. She also hinted that she was raised in Switzerland alongside other siblings and not Saltsjö-Duvnäs, Sweden as recorded by a number of sources.
According to her, growing up with siblings who were already adults when she was born made her grow up fast. It made her think like an adult as she was often treated as one. She noted that she would often move out of the house temporarily every time things didn’t go well with her family.
She was educated at a boarding school with nuns as those were the best schools in the country. She was only permitted to visit home three times a year as they were very strict. Uschi also noted that though her school felt like a prison, it made her read a lot and also learned new languages.
After high school, Uschi traveled a lot to several countries to perfect the new languages she had learned including Paris, France, Italy, and England. Later, she relocated to the United States where she worked as a translator for the jewelry trade. As you would find, she speaks and understands 8 languages including German, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, French, and English.
She Previously Worked as a Nude Model and Actress
Uschi Digard got into modeling in Los Angeles after she saw an ad on Hollywood Boulevard by the Pretty Girl Agency asking for models. According to her, she got in there and asked if they could use someone like her and they immediately put her to work with a fee of $50 per day which later increased to $1000.
As a model, she appeared in several pornographic magazines including Knight, Cinema X, Latent Image, and Gent. She later became known as one of the best big-bust models in the 60s and 70s. She noted that she was part of a nudist place called Elysium and nudity was part of her life as it felt very natural. In fact, she even got her husband, Ron to do a couple of shoots with her when one of the male models didn’t show up.
Uschi later appeared in a number of softcore before she was discovered by filmmaker Russ Meyer. Following this, she earned roles in many of Meyer’s films such as Supervixens (1975) and Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens (1979). She was also the co-producer of others.
Asides from this, she earned roles in several other films such as The Only House in Town (1971), Superchick (1973), I Want You (1974), She Wolf of the SS (1975), and Chesty Anderson. She mostly did small roles and turned down bigger roles. She stated that she didn’t want the publicity that came with her personality.
She retired in 1982 and has not recorded any professional performance since then. Before she retired, she also juggled working in the spares department of Weber Aircraft in Burbank

Is Uschi Digard Married?
Uschi Digard is a married woman. She got married to her husband Ron sometime in 1967. According to the story, she first saw her husband at the Watersplash nightclub in Jersey where he would come to perform with the band and she soon fell in love with his drumming. As fate would have it, the pair officially met four years later on the beach and soon became friends and later started dating.
Since her then-boyfriend Ron was the founder of the band known as “The Hi-Lo’s”, the pair got to travel a lot. She revealed that he had an agent in Israel and a great contract in Tel Aviv. So Israel was always a frequent destination before his band spread to Sweden, Mexico, and the United States.
After dating for a few years, Uschi and Ron decided to exchange vows. She hinted that since they traveled very often, hotel rooms were easily available to couples and that was one of the reasons they got married.
The pair have shared several decades together and have reportedly welcomed children as well.
What is She Up To?
Since Uschi Digard retired in 1982 she has stayed away from the spotlight. She hinted that she got into modeling and films to keep going until she had a real job. According to her, when the real job came she never looked back at her past.
In an interview with The Rialto Report, she noted that she is not Uschi anymore but an old lady who is just living a life of contentment.
She is still married to her husband of over 5 decades and the pair live a simple life between Palm Springs, California, and North Hollywood.
