Michael Shane Bargo Jr. also known as Mike Bargo is an American convict who is sentenced to death for the murder of Seath Jackson.
Prior, he masterminded the murder of 15-year-old Jackson after they had a misunderstanding over Amber Wright, a girl that Seath broke up with.
While people fall in and out of love most times, no one would think people would take things to the extreme. Sadly, this was the case when Bargo started dating Wright and he erroneously believed Jackson had abused her.
If you are still following this story, here are all the shocking details.
Mike Bargo Masterminded the Killing of Seath Jackson
For context, Mike Bargo was only 18 years old when his life story changed. In 2011, Bargo, a Florida native, and two others, Seath Jackson and Amber Wright found themselves in a misunderstanding due to a past relationship between Jackson and Wright.
Wright and Jackson started dating in December 2010 but a bitter misunderstanding led to a breakup in March 2011.
Shortly after, Bargo and Wright started dating, however, Wright and Jackson continued chatting together despite her relationship with Bargo.
According to Jackson’s best friend, William Samalot, Bargo wrongly believed that Jackson abused Amber while they were dating. This made Bargo seek ways of dealing with Jackson.
About two or three weeks before the murder, Bargo and 15-year-old Jackson had a clash at Wright’s home and they threatened each other.
Things continued to escalate and a week before the murder, Bargo went to Jackson’s house. During an argument, Jackson’s mother is said to have heard Bargo tell her son that ‘he had a bullet with your name on it’.
From that point, Bargo started planning how to kill Jackson. To do this, he enlisted the help of Amber Wright, Kyle Hooper, Charlie Ely, and Justin Soto in carrying out the murder.
On their own, Bargo’s accomplices had some connection to the victim. Hooper, who was Wright’s half-brother, was upset with Jackson after discovering him having sex with a woman he was seeing. On her own, Charlie Ely was a friend who permitted them to stay at her apartment, while they also had a friendship with Soto.
Moving on, Bargo is known to own a revolver which he often fired at Ely’s house. Unsurprisingly, the housemates invited Jackson and Samalot to a fight at Ely’s home but on approaching, Bargo fired at them thereby forcing them to leave.
Bargo and Hooper Finalized the Plans to Kill Jackson
Considering that Bargo and Hooper both had grievances with Jackson, they finalized plans to kill him. To get him, they convinced Wright to bring him to Ely’s house since she was still talking with him.
On April 17, 2011, Samalot noticed the exchange of text messages between his friend and Wright in which she was telling Jackson to come to Ely’s home to work things out.
Apparently, she was only trying to lure him because she warned him not to tell anyone of their meeting.
As this was unfolding, she called Jackson but Samalot warned him not to talk with her. Despite Samalot’s warning, Jackson went to Ely’s house after they parted ways around 9:15 pm.
Jackson was Killed and Burnt in a Firepit by Bargo and his Accomplices
Jackson met with Wright and Ely and together they went to Ely’s house as agreed.
Sadly, he was walking into an ambush when he was attacked by Hooper with a wooden object while Bargo fired at him. Jackson was able to escape through the kitchen but he was no match for his assailants.
Soto tackled him and they brought him back into the house. Bargo wanted his plot complete by showing his face to Jackson.
Therefore, he took him to the bathroom and tortured him before shooting him in the head.
After he died, Bargo and Soto put the body in a sleeping bag and took it to a firepit where they burnt it. After which they all went to bed while Hooper looked after the fire.
In the morning, they are said to have disposed of the remains inside paint buckets at a water-filled rock quarry with the assistance of Wright and Hooper’s stepdad, James Haven’s.
Bargo Fled from Investigation
After learning from Wright’s mother that the police were investigating Jackson’s disappearance, Bargo is said to have borrowed some money from Hooper and left town.
He went to Ocala where he visited Kristen Williams, an out-of-town girlfriend. Bargo admitted to killing Jackson who he claimed was a kid he and some friends fought with. From there, Bargo went to Starke and stayed with Kristen’s family. While with the Williams’, he admitted to killing someone that had raped his younger sister.
Bargo was finally arrested by the police at the Williams home on April 19, 2011.

He was Sentenced to Death for Jackson’s Sad Death
Bargo was put on trial in 2013 after investigators linked him to the murder through forensic and DNA evidence.
During the trial, he denied being the mastermind by shifting the blame to others. Regardless, he was found guilty of first-degree murder. Based on a 10 to 2 vote, Bargo was sentenced to death while the other conspirators were sentenced to life in prison.
However, the Florida Supreme Court ruled that the vote must be unanimous.
During his retrial, Bargo’s attorneys argued that his mental health was not considered. Needless to say, the jury reached a unanimous decision on his death sentence.
Mike Bargo is Still in Prison Awaiting Execution
