Who are The Reklaws Members and Who are Their Parents?
Stuart Walker and Jena Walker. They were born in rural Ontario, Canada to their parents, Todd and Flo – owners and operators of an adventure farm.
Their mother Flo played a vital role in the music of the siblings as she was responsible for suggesting their stage name “The Reklaws” opposing the initial names of “Sibling Rivalry”, “Walkers”, and “Bro-Sis” they earlier wanted. Flo spelled their last name “Walker” backward and came out with the band’s name.
The siblings have three other siblings and they grew up in Cambridge and summer in Southampton. There, they taught tennis and also performed music.
Before they made it big in the music industry, Stuart and Jena only performed locally and to people who visited their family farm.
In 2013, they got their first big break in the music industry when they were nominated for the Canadian Country Music Awards Discovery Award. They also won the Emerging Artist Showcase at the Boots and Hearts music festival.
This was a year after they were awarded the CCMA Discovery Artist title.
Their fame grew in 2017 upon the release of Hometown Kids and was also signed to Universal Music the same year.
