The pair were previously married for many years which saw the birth of their two sons, Daniel Hernandez, and Oscar Osiris Hernandez. Tekashi 69’s Mother Natividad Perez-Hernandez was a Factory Worker
Natividad Perez-Hernandez is the mother of 6ix9ine and only became known following her son’s popularity as a rapper. While information about her early life and family background is sparingly available. Jukebugs uncover that she is from Atlixo Puebla, Mexico, and had lived there for many years.
Before her son became famous, she juggled between being a house cleaner and a factory worker for many years, Unfortunately, she lost her job a few years after she was abandoned by her husband. Following this, she relocated to the U.S. to find better opportunities but never found stability.
Subsequently, she remarried a second husband who took care of her and her kids. Sadly, he died in 2010 after being shot dead a few miles from their block in Brooklyn. This also took a toll on 6ix9ine who was only 13 years old at the time.
Natividad revealed that she suffered a great deal in raising her kids following the death of their stepfather. Even though she sought welfare assistance, she stated that there were times they went to bed hungry following her financial struggle.
Even though things have long changed for the mother of two who lives a comfortable life in a big house with a pool, the same cannot be said of 6ix9ine’s father who suffered a strained relationship with his son.
Daniel Hernandez Sr. Reportedly Abandoned His Son When he was a Child
Tekashi 69’s father Daniel Hernandez Sr. as stated earlier is in the spotlight because of his strained relationship with his famous son. The 62 years old who hails from Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico reportedly abandoned his son when he was a little child and his wife allegedly told him that his father was dead.
Contrarily, Hernandez Sr. was sentenced to prison for drug peddling a few months after his son was born and couldn’t sustain a relationship with his family. He spent nearly five years in prison and all attempts made to reach out to his family were futile.
According to him, he even wrote letters to be delivered by a prisoner who was released but it probably never got to them. Rather, his messenger turned out to be his wife’s lover and later married her. Even more, his further attempts to connect with them were still ruined by her then-husband.
Consequently, 6ix9ine suffered a strained relationship with his father and the two never met until the rapper was nine years old. In several interviews, 6ix9ine has expressed how his father’s absence affected him and how he fought through depression, anxiety, and PTSD for years. Asides from this, he added that his stepfather’s death left him scarred.

6ix9ine Father Showed Up During his Court Hearing in 2018

While 6ix9ine and his father never reconciled on their differences, the senior Hernandez kept making attempts to reach out to his son even after a decade. He appeared for his son’s court hearing in 2018 after the rapper was arrested on nine charges including racketeering, drug trafficking, and firearm offenses stemming from his connection with the ‘Nine Trey Blood’ Gang.
He was present since the first part of the hearing, and even made attempts to speak about his son during the hearing but was not allowed. However, 6ix9ine only caught sight of him in the second part of the hearing. This moment got the rapper shedding tears and he would later pause his statement.
Later, 6ix9ine’s father spoke to the media outside the courthouse on his plans to fix the issues with his son. He also added that his son was given 24 months in prison which he considered fair.
Tekashi 69 Never Got To Forgive his Father
In 2019 news made waves that the rapper’s father was living in the shelter and couldn’t afford a home of his own. Further reports stated that Hernandez Sr. asked for financial help from his son but never got any assistance. He even made a video revealing he has been homeless for 2-3 years and that his son who has been helping other people should also reach out.
Following the headlines this made, 6ix9ine responded to critics who turned out on him for neglecting his father. He expressed his depression once again and revealed that his father’s positive publicity is a hate trend for him. Subsequently, Hernandez Sr. was dragged online by the rapper’s fans.
On March 23, 2023, the rapper was attacked by a group of men at the South Florida gym and was severely beaten until the staff of the gym got alerted. He was immediately rushed to the hospital by ambulance and from current reports, he is still hospitalized. No reports or statement has been made concerning his present condition, we only know that he sustained injuries on his jaw, ribs, and back. Fans have long sent their wishes and hope he recovers soon.
Tekashi 69 is not the Only Child of His Parents
While 6ix9ine is the most famous child of his parents, he is not the only child. He spent his childhood days alongside his older brother Oscar Osiris Hernandez in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York. Oscar was born two years earlier precisely on August 25 1994 and he’s 30 years old at the moment.
Like his famous brother, he was raised in the church and remained committed throughout his youth. Following their financial struggles, he juggled several odd jobs to make ends meet for his family.
When his younger brother 6ix9ine was arrested and charged with 9 crimes, Oscar was one of the people that spoke in his defense. He stated that 6ix9ine never had a father figure in his life but has grown to be a loyal family man who takes care of the people around him. In addition, he said, 6ix9ine is a role model to millions of people and if kept out of the prison, he would influence many with his good music.
At the moment, it’s not known what 6ix9ine older brother does for a living as he was reportedly unemployed in 2020.
