The actress recalled in a show program that she didn’t know her son was color blind when he was growing up. According to the actress when she expresses how beautiful something is, her son gave a different expression.
As the story goes, she only came to the knowledge of his condition when they visited an eye doctor to recommend eyeglasses for her daughter. At the hospital, young Matias was also examined and the results revealed that he had a serious degree of color blindness.
At present, the actress says his condition is been managed. She also used the show as an avenue to educate the public that the notion of color blindness is described as the ability to see only white and black is very wrong. Adding that people who are color blind get to see colors just the way everyone does but interpret them differently.
At the show, Susana revealed that her son was bullied by his schoolmates who were misinformed of what color blindness means. Matias who was also present at the show said they called him a robot and disassociated themselves from him.
