2. Patrick Cassidy
Shirley Jones’ son Patrick is married to actress Melissa Hurley and they have two children. He is also an actor and has appeared in a few musical theatre productions and TV shows. He has appeared in Midnight Offerings, Bay City Blues, and Dress Gray.
His two children used to perform alongside his wife and him while they were still very young. The Cassidys were always on the road so they employed a nanny who doubled as a tutor for their boys.
- Cole Cassidy
Cole is the eldest son of Patrick and Melissa. He was born on July 31, 1995. Far from his family’s fame, Cole is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering.

3. Ryan Cassidy
Ryan is the third son of the famed actress. Unlike his brothers, he was unswayed by the lure of show business and considered a career in law enforcement before he later ventured into acting.

Shirley Jones’ Stepson, David Cassidy
Following her marriage to Jack Cassidy, Shirley became the stepmother of David Cassidy who was born in Jack’s previous relationship. David appeared in the musical situation-comedy television series The Patridge Family (1970-1974) alongside his stepmother.

Shirley Jones’s Children are All from Her First Marriage
1. Jack Cassidy
Jones and her first husband met for the first time when she was just 21 years old. The two were married for almost two decades and were blessed with three children and one son, David from Jack’s previous relationship. David unfortunately later passed away in November 2017 due to liver failure.
The iconic singer revealed Jack was the one who taught her quite a lot of things. She has often described him as a well-read smart man who was not just allegedly unfaithful to her but also envious of her success. Despite the passion-fueled relationship, the couple’s marriage ended in 1975.
The Oscar-winning actress’ ex-husband was known for his works in several television shows and films. He won quite a number of tony award nominations and a Grammy Award and also Primetime Emmy Award.
Jack’s son David was born during his marriage with his first wife Evelyn Ward, an actress.
Shirley lost her first husband on December 12, 1976, a day after he invited her to his apartment for drinks but she refused. He lit a cigarette and fell asleep on his couch. His body was later found among the ashes after the apartment burnt down.
The actress later admitted that she would not have married Marty in 1977 if Jack had lived.
2. Marty Ingels
Shirley Jones married actor Marty Ingels in 1977. Despite reports that the pair were an odd couple, their marriage lasted for about 38 years until Ingels passed away in 2015 from complications of a stroke. Prior to his death, he appeared in the 1960s television series, I’m Dickens. He’s Fenster.
