Early Life of Pete Davidson’s Father
Scott Matthew Davidson was born in Brooklyn, New York, on January 4, 1968. He had Jewish, German, Irish, and Italian ancestry and was the son of Carla DiMaggio (mother), and Stephen Davidson (father). He also had a stepmother named Linda Davidson.
His family moved from Brooklyn, New York to Staten Island where he led most of his life.
As regards education, Scott attended St. Joseph-by-the-Sea High School and later went to the College of Staten Island where he graduated with a bachelor’s in history. He would later attend a fire academy which would lead to his taking a job in line with that and living for the service of humanity.
Scott Davidson was an MVP in Basketball and All-Star in Baseball
The older Davidson and father of American comedian and actor, Pete was an athlete who reportedly found his footing in sports at a young age. He then exposed himself to several sports such as baseball and basketball.
Scott was said to be a man who could compete and comfortably win. Little wonder he was an all-star baseball player in the Great Kills Little Leagues.
Getting to basketball, he definitely didn’t play to become one in the class of Michael Jordan but he did not fail to work hard and at a good pace. He played the game for about 4 years while at St. Joseph-by-the-Sea High School and got the name of the Most Valuable Player in the Jaques Classic All-Star High School Game on 1986.
By the time he got to college, he allowed himself to continue trailing the road of sports as a basketball player and ended up being a captain by the time he was a senior around 1990.
His sporting life also won him the Melvin Barmel Memorial Award and was also named CSI’s Male Athlete of the Year.
He was a Teacher, Coach, and a Bartender
Since Scott Mathew Davidson passed the knowledge he had to others through coaching and teaching.
The then-husband of Amy Water reportedly took the job as a basketball coach and also coached Pete in football and baseball.
Away from coaching, he was also a substitute school teacher in Brooklyn.

The father of 2, Peter Davidson, and a daughter, Casey Davidson died in the September 11 2001 terrorist attack in New York, United States of America. He passed away at 33 while trying to save others before the Twin Towers, the tallest buildings in New America collapsed.
The 9/11 attack that led to the death of Pete Davidson’s father was a terrorist attack that was reportedly carried out by al-Qaeda – an Islamist extremist group.
The attack left more than 2700 dead in New York, over 180 in Pentagon, and about 40 people died on Flight 93.
In his honor, his son, born Peter Davidson made a tattoo of his batch number “8418”.

The King of Staten Island is an American movie that was partly about the life of Pete Davidson’s father, Scott Davidson.
The Pete Davidson co-written film made $40 million from a $35 million budget. It focused on the life of 24-year-old Scott Carlin, a school dropout. He lost his father, Stan who was a firefighter.
Scott Carlin suffered a number of medical problems as well as drugs.
In a similar light to the film, when Scott Davidson died, his then 7-year-old son David passed trauma which led to his ripping off his hair. He also suffered suicidal thoughts.
The younger Davidson, in 2017, about 16 years after the death of his father announced that he was suffering from a borderline personality disorder, known as BPD. He also struggled with substance abuse and he announced that he was clean. This, however, may not be related to the death of his father.
