As the story goes, the pair crossed paths during their senior year in school and later became friends. According to Guerdy, she never saw Russell as her type even though she revealed that he was cute.
Subsequently, they got along and started a relationship that lasted for 7 years before Russell proposed during a nighttime stroll at the beach. The pair went on to have a luxurious Spanish-themed wedding at the St. Bernard de Clairvaux in North Miami Beach with 120 persons in attendance including family and friends.
