Notti Osama, a 14-year-old American rapper was stabbed by another teenager and he died from the injuries sustained at Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital. The grievous incident took place at a Manhattan subway station on July 2022.
Prior to his death, the musical artist recorded songs such as Peter Pan, Deadly, Don’t Change, Blame On Me, and Blast.
Where is Notti Osama Now and What Happened to Him?
During an altercation, Notti Osama was stabbed by a 15-year-old supposed friend, Kelvin Martinez. The incident happened at about 3 pm on July 9 2022 at the 137th Street/City College subway station.
At Mount Sinai Morningside, 1111 Amsterdam Avenue, New York, the young rising rapper was declared dead.
It has been reported by sources that the teenage rapper tried to flee the scene after he was stabbed but he collapsed before being taken to the hospital.
Following the death, a GoFundMe page was created to help with his funeral, and $9,715 was donated. He was praised by many as a loving person with a sweet soul. His love for family and friends became the center of tributes. People also remembered to share their thoughts about his talent and musical prowess.
In fact, he released the video of his song Without You only 2 weeks prior to his murder.
His memorial was held at his family’s residence in Yonkers, on West 140th and Broadway.
In the light of his life before his death, Notti was born Ethan Reyes on 17 January 2008. He was in Harlem, New York, before moving to Yonker with his family barely two months before his death.
He had 5 siblings, including an upcoming rapper DD Osama (born David Reyes).
Real Reason Why Notti was Stabbed
There is no certainty as to what actually led to the feud between Osama and his alleged killer. Yet, according to Daily Mail, Notti was friends with the 15-year-old Martinez who killed him. It has also been revealed that they later had a rift.
The reason as to what may have caused their fallout has not been given. But since Notti was a drill rapper and drill rap is known for its blunt lyrics, there may be chances that he may have said things in his music that did not sit well with his alleged killer.
Also, Osama was known to be a street kid and it is not totally out of place for street rappers, children, or even adults to be involved in one fight or another.
With this in mind, it is worthy of note that Notti is not the only rapper to have lost his life in street bruel over the years. Rappers such as Takeoff, PnB Rock, 2Pac, Nipsey Hussle, and Young Dolph have been shot dead over the years in the open.
While there may be pointers that he may have done something wrong that led to his killing, footage has shown that he alongside another person first attacked his alleged stabber. He cornered Martinez and hit him with a broom.
Rather than stopping there, they followed him to a subway station, and in defense, Martinez hit the rapper with a knife and as a result, Notti lost his life.
In fact, reports have pointed out that Martinez had to treat wounds he sustained from Ethan and his friends.

What Happened to Notti Osama’s Killer?
Following the death of the Harlem-born rapper, his alleged killer was taken to the police by his (the killer’s) mother.
He was then charged with second-degree murder but prosecutors only file a charge of first-degree killing.
It was gathered that there was evidence that Martinez only acted out of self-defense. Hence, the criminal charges for the manslaughter were dropped.
