Florke was 30 years old while Maloney was 26 at the time the couple met at a nightclub in Chelsea in 1992. Maloney noticed that Florke was a beautiful man but did not get the courage to speak to the design executive.

Randy Florke and Sean Patrick Maloney are parents of three children – Reiniel Jesus Florke (born in 1989), Essie Maloney Florke, and Daley Maloney Florke.
Jesus (pronounced as Hay-soos) was born in 1990 and when he was three years old, Randy Florke who was colleagues with the boy’s grandfather started taking care of him. Shortly after, Jesus’ mother died and Randy stepped in to adopt the then-toddler.
In 2001, they adopted another child, a daughter named Daley Maloney Florke, and in 2003, their daughter, Essie Florke (born on December 12, 2002) became a member of the family.
