Lady Sarah McCorquodale Allegedly Dated Princess Diana’s Former Husband
Born on the 19th of March, 1955, Lady Elizabeth Sarah Lavinia Spencer is the oldest of the Spencer Siblings. She attended the Riddlesworth Hall School in Norfolk and later West Heath Boarding School in Kent.
As a young woman, Lady Sarah suffered from an eating disorder, anorexia nervosa, and later an alcohol problem. She was also said to have had a lot of boyfriends. One of which was Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales. Lady Sarah admitted to keeping a scrapbook of all press clippings of her royal romance to show to her future grandchildren.
In 1977, while Lady Sarah was in a relationship with Prince Charles, reports stated that the Lady said that she would never marry the Prince even “if he were the dustman or the King of England”, that remark was said to have infuriated the Prince.
Prince Charles then met her Sister, Diana and the rest is history as we know it. When the news of their engagement broke out, the Lady took responsibility for the Pair’s romance and called herself “Cupid”. While some reports claim that the Lady and her sister had a strained relationship because of Diana’s Marriage to the Prince, others claim that Lady Sarah was one of the few people Princess Diana trusted until her death and was even one of the co-executors of the Princess’ will.
She was the President of the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, which raised over £100 million for different charities. Unfortunately, the fund closed in 2012. Lady Sarah also served as the High Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 2009, and a master of the Belvoir Hunt in 2010.
Spencer got married to Neil Edmund McCorquodale, a second cousin to her Stepmother, Raine Spencer on the 17th of May 1980 in Northamptonshire, England. Their marriage produced 3 children: Emily Jane McCorquodale, George Edmund McCorquodale, and Celia Rose McCorquodale.
Princess Diana was Baroness Jane Fellowes’ Maid of Honor
Cynthia Jane Spencer was born on the 11th of February, 1957. Her godfather was Prince Edward, Duke of Kent. Like her sisters, she attended the West Heath Boarding School in Kent. Sources say that the Baroness was an excellent student and was made the School Prefect due to her exceptional performance in her academics.
Lady Fellowes was rumored to have had a bitter relationship with her Diana and at the time of the Princess’s death, they had not spoken to each other for years. However, The Princess’ Nanny, Mary Clarke, stated otherwise in her memoir, Little Girl Lost: The Troubled Childhood of Princess Diana by the Woman who raised her.
She said the relationship between the two sisters was not as bitter as it was reported. Even though it might have deteriorated, the sisters lived as neighbors on the Kensington Palace estate. It was reported that the Baroness was so devastated after she saw the corpse of her late sister in Paris, that she had to be escorted out.
As regards her relationship life, Lady Jane got married to Robert Fellowes, a distant relative on the 20th of April, 1978. Robert Fellowes at the time was the Assistant Private Secretary to the Queen. Princess Diana was a bridesmaid at the wedding which took place at Westminister Abbey.
Baron and Baroness Fellowes were blessed with 3 children, The Honourable Laura Jane Fellowes, The Honourable Alexander Robert Fellowes, and The Honourable Eleanor Ruth Fellowes.
Charles Spencer, The 9th Earl Spencer
Charles Edward Maurice Spencer was born on the 20th of May, 1964. He is a British Peer, author, journalist, and broadcaster. He is the 9th Earl Spencer, 9th Viscount Althorp, 9th Viscount Spencer of Althorp, 9th Baron Spencer of Althorp, and 4th Viscount Althorp.
Spencer worked as a correspondent with NBC News from 1986 to 1995. While he was at NBC, he wrote and presented a 12th-part documentary series, titled “Great Houses of the World” (1994-1995). He also worked as a reporter for Granada Television from 1991 to 1993. Spencer has written a lot of book reviews and feature stories for different English and American Publications.
Earl Spencer inherited Althorp, the family’s ancestral seat in Northamptonshire. He renovated the exterior of the Althorp for the first time since the 1780s. Charles Spencer also helped in establishing the Althorp Living History, a handmade fine-furniture line that reproduces furniture pieces from the collection at the Althorp.
He is the founder of the Althorp Literary Festival and was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of Northamptonshire. Spencer is also a patron of the Northamptonshire County Cricket Club.
After the death of Princess Diana, Spencer rebuked Britain’s Royal Family for their maltreatment of his sister. It was alleged that the Princess wrote him a letter, 10 months before her death, to tell him about the fears of a planned accident which he termed “just a bizarre coincidence rather than tied in with reality”.
Spencer was accused of refusing to allow his sister to stay in a cottage at the Althorp at a time when she was going through a lot of emotional difficulties. However, that was proven to be untrue because Earl Spencer offered the Princess a number of properties including the Womleighton Mano, The family’s original ancestral home.
On the 16th of September 1989, the Earl got married to Victoria Lockwood but the pair got divorced on the 3rd of December, 1997 after 4 children. In 2001, he married Caroline Freud, the former wife of Matthew Freud. They got divorced in 2007 after having two children. He got married one more time to Canadian Philanthropist, Karen Gordon and the couple has a child.

John Spencer
Born on the 12th of January, 1959, John Spencer died shortly after his birth, one year before Princess Diana was born. He was the first son of Earl Spencer and his wife, Lady Frances Spencer. John Spencer was meant to carry on the family’s name which explains why he was named after his father.
Unfortunately, he could not live long enough to become the 9th Earl Spencer. His brother, Earl Spencer would later say that his demise caused a strain on their parents’ marriage and would end up leading to their divorce years later.
