Paris Hilton, the American media personality and businesswoman, has lost her home to the wildfires raging through Los Angeles, and this has left her completely devastated.
In an emotional social media post she made on Wednesday, the socialite revealed that she watched her waterfront Malibu home burn to the ground on live television.
The 43-year-old socialite made the disclosure on X/Twitter and accompanied her post with a clip from KABC depicting the irreparable damage being caused by the ravaging fires.
Paris Hilton wrote: ‘Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience.’
The businesswoman was one of the celebrities who lost their home in the devastating wildfires fueled by strong winds that have been ravaging parts of Southern California. Apparently pained by the loss of her home, the hotel heiress posted a lengthy message to the site after insiders told TMZ that her house was ‘burned to a crisp’ and ‘reduced to a pile of burning rubble’ following the fiery outbreak which has been concentrated in the Los Angeles communities of Pacific Palisades and Malibu.
The star of This Is Paris, who shares two one-year-old children with her husband Carter Reum, 43—son Phoenix Barron and daughter London Marilyn—expressed that she was “heartbroken beyond words” in the wake of the destructive wildfires.
Paris Hilton said: ‘This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London…While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family is safe. My heart and prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires.
‘To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets. My heartaches for those still in harm’s way or mourning greater losses.’
The socialite, who recently garnered attention for her political efforts, stated that “the devastation is unimaginable” and that “to know so many are waking up today without the place they called home is truly heartbreaking.”
She mentioned that members of her 11:11 Media Impact Team were “reaching out to nonprofit organizations today to determine how we can best support the communities affected by these fires” and emphasized their “commitment to providing assistance as soon as possible and making a meaningful difference for those who need it most.”
She also hailed firefighters and first responders, saying, ‘To the brave firefighters and first responders risking their lives to protect us – you are true heroes.
‘I am so grateful for your courage, dedication, and the incredible sacrifices you’re making to save lives and fight this unimaginable battle. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.’
Paris Hilton went on to encourage her followers to ‘stay safe and follow evacuation orders’ amid the trying time. She explained that ‘you never know when everything could change.
‘Let’s protect one another and hold onto hope that these fires will soon be contained. Sending so much love and strength to all of you. We’re in this together, LA. Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight.’
According to TMZ, sources have revealed that the home of Paris Hilton which was burned in the blaze was not the ‘main residence’ the hotel heiress lives in, as she owns ‘multiple properties,’ including a mansion in Beverly Hills.
