Nicole Sheindlin is the stepdaughter of Judy Sheindlin who is an American prosecutor. Her father is the famous American author and Judge known as Jerry Sheindlin. Just like her parents, Nicole Sheindlin is also a lawyer.
Sheindlin is the co-founder, CEO, and brain behind Her Honor Mentoring. It is a Westchester County that pairs female high school seniors with women who are leaders in their careers.

Her parents got married in 1965 and divorced in 1977. Her father Jerry Sheindlin was an arbitrator on The People’s Court from 1999 to 2001.

Nicole Sheindlin started Her Honor Mentoring with Judy Sheindlin in 2006
Nicole Sheindlin started Her Honor Mentoring while she was working as a senior staff attorney at the legal aid society’s criminal defense division in Bronx County. While she was there, she handled all phases of criminal litigation from indigent and low-income individuals accused of felonies and misdemeanors.
She co-founded it with her stepmother Judge Judy to start the program in 2006. The program combines the power of the youth and experience in others to inspire young women to reach their full potential through proper mentoring.
Currently, Her Honor serves 77 young women from 10 Westchester high schools who are college-bound students with financial needs.
It is reported that more than 500 young women have participated in Her Honor Mentoring. The program is said to be a philanthropic initiative that has given out over $1 million through monthly mentorship stipends, scholarships, and grants.
Nicole Sheindlin spent 15 years as Legal Aid
The lawyer has worked for 15 years at Legal Aid. While she was there, she conducted jury and bench trials in cases involving charges of robbery, rape, attempted murder, assault, burglary, and also the sale and possession of controlled substances.
She is a partner at Mentzer and Sheindlin, LLP, a private practice law firm. It handles criminal and civil litigation. She is known as a well-known speaker and she has presented talks and lectures on topics that include Supporting Women and Girls at Morgan Stanley.
Judge Judy’s lawsuit money was donated to Her Honor Mentoring
In March 2014, Judge Judy filed a lawsuit for the first time ever in her life. The lawsuit was against Hartford, Connecticut personal injury lawyer John Haymond and his law firm.
She accused Haymond of using her television image without consent in advertisements that suggested she endorsed him and his firm. Eventually, the case was settled out of court and it favored Judge Judy. Haymond was made to donate some money to Her Honor Mentoring.

Sheindlin is reportedly married with three children. Even though there is no information about her husband and children yet, it is said that she lives in Larchmont, New York with her husband, children, dog, and cat.
