Michael Misick is the former and First Premier of the British Overseas Territory known as Turks and Caicos Island. He also holds the position of the 7th Chief Minister of the Islands.
Misick was however made to resign from the position he held, in 2008, on accounts of corruption. He was arrested and stood trial which lingered for many years. He however made an attempt at a political comeback in 2016.
Michael has been in relationships with at least 5 women and even has 6 kids with them; the oldest was born in 1997.
Michael Misick is the Last of 12 Children
Born on February 2, 1966, in Bottle Creek, North Caicos, Michael Eugene Misick is the last born of 12 children born to Mr. Charles Misick and Mrs. Mary Jane Misick.
His mother was the brain and force behind her family’s political successes. Despite not venturing into politics herself, she was the wife of a former Member of Parliament in the 1960 and 1970s – Charles. She also mothered a couple of Turks and Caicos’ top politicians.
Mary Jane, unfortunately, passed away on October 2, 2015, after suffering from a stroke.
Michael’s older brother, Philip Misick is a real estate executive and the spokesperson of the Misick family. His other brother named Charles Washington Misick was made the Premier of Turks and Caicos in February 2021.
His other siblings include Vanderlene Gardiner (deceased), Joanne Knight, Vernon James, Ariel Misick, Sylvia Barnett, Elieth Gardiner, Mervin Misick, Thomas Chal Misick, and Dr. Lofton Misick.
The last of the Charles Misick sons attended schools in North Caicos; had his high school education at Turks and Caicos High School (Helena Jones Robinson High School). He went on to further at the Miami Lakes Technical Institute and bagged a certificate in Business Studies.
Michael Misick also attended the University of Buckingham and earned a Bachelor of Law degree.
He is an attorney with the Law of England and Wales and also a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln Inn, London.
Before Being a Politician, the Former Prime Minister was into Real Estate
As far back as the early 1980s, Michael was quite invested in real estate and even rose through several positions in the profession. He initially started as a sales agent and in about a decade, had risen to the position of CEO.
From 1984 to 1986, Misick served as the sales manager of Prestigious Properties Ltd. For the following 2 years, he rose to the position of managing director.
By 1998, he had become so engrossed in the business that he founded his own company named Paramount Group. The company was a property and financial service-providing company and he served as the chairman and CEO till 1991 when he delved into politics.
His Political Career and Resignation
The former CEO was elected into the Legislative Council at the age of 25 and he served as the Minister for Tourism, Transportation and Communication. He held the position for a period of 8 years.
While going for a 3 rd term, he was defeated during the 1997 general elections. It was as a result of his loss that he went on to earn a degree in Law.
On August 2003, the 1 st Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands was sworn in as the Chief Minister of the British Overseas territory.
His position as the 1 st Premier wasn’t until 2007 when his political party won 13 of 15 seats during the elections held that year.
A year later, amid corruption and rape allegations, Michael Misick was asked to resign from his position. These allegations lingered for so long and were scandalous, involving the Brazilian government, an arrest, and trial that lasted for years, and even the death of the judge who was presiding over the case.
By December 2016, the Bottle Creek-born attempted to re-enter the political circle. He contested as an individual contender at the general elections in 2016 and lost after he received only 5.57%.

58-year-old Misick Has Been Married Thrice
Turks and Caicos’ renowned politician, Michael has been romantically involved with at least 5 women. However, he has been married 3 times and has had 1 public affair.
He first got married to Yvette Marcelin, a fellow attorney who used to work at TWA Mercelin Wolf. She was his wife before his political career started.
By 2005, Misick had met and begun a romantic relationship with a famous actress, LisaRaye McCoy. This relationship began barely a year after McCoy’s relationship with rapper 50 Cent ended.
In the same year, the former Prime Minister was having an affair with former White House aide, Omarosa Manigault-Newman. It was reported that Michael found it easy to talk to the fired aide and sought advice from her. Eventually, a romance began to brew and the affair ensued. However, this was quickly cut short by LisaRaye’s emergence into the minister’s life.
A year later, in April 2006, Misick and McCoy got married in a lavish ‘fairytale-like’ ceremony. LisaRaye was even given the title of the ‘First Lady of Turks and Caicos’.
This marriage only lasted for about 2 years. By 2008, the couple announced that they were on the verge of divorce and LisaRaye claimed that she did not get married to him for love.
10 years after the end of Michael and LisaRaye’s divorce, he got married again. This time, he wedded a Dominican woman identified as Tatjana van de Merwe. She is a native of Santo Domingo.
This third marriage took place on Sunday, August 19, 2018, in North Caicos.
About Misick’s Children from His Relationships
According to the politician’s Wikipedia page, he has 6 children from 5 different women though not all the kids came from his marriages. With LisaRaye McOY, Michael had no kids.
The first of Misick’s children is known as Kristen Misick who was born on October 9, 1997. He graduated from high school on June 21, 2005, and was his class valedictorian.
The father of 6’s second son, Mikey, born on July 7, 2004, graduated from high school on June 4, 2022.
His other kids are Charlize born on November 5, 2006, Symbailey born July 6, and Noah born on January 1, 2020.
He also has another daughter according to an Instagram post dated May 21, 2020. The name of the girl who he counts as one of his blessings is Victoria. It wasn’t stated if the aforementioned date was a birthday anniversary, though.
Interestingly, from his Instagram posts, his kids are sportive and took a liking to basketball. His daughter, Charlize even participated in the Nike Tournament of Champions in Chicago.

He lives in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. From his most recent post dated January 15, 2023, the $180 million rich former Prime Minister was in Fort George. His most recent pictures show him having the time of his life in different locations.
