Matt Lattanzi was also an actor who had a brief stint in Hollywood. He mostly played small roles at the beginning of his career. However, towards the years when he would have taken his career to another level, he quit acting.
Lattanzi was married to Newton-John for about a decade before the split. During this period, they brought to life the only child the actor had before her passing.
Matthew Vincent Lattanzi is 65 years Old
The former American entertainer who was an actor and dancer for about 13 years was born Matthew Vincent Lattanzi. He was born on February 02, 1959, in Portland, Oregon, United States of America.
His mother is identified as Mrs. Jeanette Lattanzi (nee Slowikowski) of Polish ancestry. Matt’s father is Mr. Charles Paul Lattanzi an Italian former maintenance foreman.
The former actor attended and graduated in 1997 from Benson Polytechnic High School. It was a public school located in Portland’s Lent neighborhood.
It was at the age of 21 that the son of Jeanette delved into Hollywood as an entertainer. He first landed the role of Young Danny McGuire, a Xanadu dancer in the movie Xanadu.
Matthew’s Entertainment Career
After landing his first role in the 1980 movie, Matt went on to land other smaller roles. He starred in My Tutor (1983) as well as Rich and Famous, Grease 2, That’s Life! Roxanne, Catch Me If You Can, and Diving In.
Nonetheless, Lattanzi began to land bigger roles like the role of Cooper Hart in Paradise Beach. Similarly, he made cameos in the music videos of his then-wife, Olivia. Two of her videos that he made appearances in are; ‘Landslide’ and ‘Soul Kiss’.
At the end of his acting and dancing career, Lattanzi began to work as a contractor for a home construction business in California.
Matt Lattanzi Was about 10 Years Younger than Olivia Newton-John
The Paradise Beach actor and his wife met on the set of Xanadu where he served as a backup dancer. Soon after meeting, their relationship kicked off despite a lot of glaring differences they both had.
For starters, they were both from different backgrounds. Olivia’s father Mr. Brinly Newton-John was a former MI5 officer and professor while her lover’s father was a foreman. She hails from a long line of famous entertainers from her mother’s side. Her mother’s name is Irene Helen.
There were also age differences between them as the actress was about 10 years older than Matt. Dame Olivia Newton-John was born on September 26, 1948, in Santa Ynez Valley, California. She was of Australian-British ancestry. As of 2022, her age was 76 years.
They got married about 4 years after working together, that is, in 1984. Over a year but barely two years into their marriage, Newton-John bore a daughter whom they named Chloe Rose Lattanzi. Their daughter was born on January 17, 1986.
Matt and his wife remained together until 1995 when they both announced their divorce. Two years prior, Matt had ended his acting career and had even spent time taking care of his wife who was diagnosed with cancer of the breast.
Before her relationship with Matt, Olivia was in two previous relationships. She first dated and was engaged to Bruce Welch. The relationship fell through in 1972. The reason for the couple’s divorce wasn’t made public knowledge, however, there was a little intel. The ‘Xanadu’ actress’ niece revealed that upon Olivia’s recovery from her cancer illness, she began to notice the differences between her and her husband.
These differences were said to have been ignored at the beginning of their relationship and marriage. One of such things that the actress couldn’t live with anymore was reportedly their religious differences.
It was said that as she recovered, Newton-John became more spiritual and was around a lot of spiritual people. This was in contrast to her husband, who, in his early 30s, was basically all about earthly things.
This was reportedly one of the major reasons Matt Lattanzi and Olivia Newton-John’s marriage ended.
At the end of this marriage, Matthew went on to date Cindy Jessup. The relationship lasted from 1997 to 2007. It, unfortunately, ended after about 10 years, just like his first marriage. However, this time, Matt Lattanzi had no kids with Jessica.
Olivia Newton-John on the other hand went on to date Patrick McDermott a year after their divorce. They were in an unstable relationship for about 9 years until Patrick’s mysterious disappearance during a fishing trip.
After McDermott, Matt’s ex-wife went on to date and marry John Easterling. They met at an Incan spiritual ceremony in 2008. Olivia and John were together until her death.

Chloe Lattanzi grew up to be dotted upon by both her father and mother. She remained very close to her mother till Olivia’s death and even has a duet with her. She is an American singer and actress born in Los Angeles.
However, the young lady had a challenging upbringing. A report carries that Chloe suffered from an eating disorder from her teenage days to her early 20s. Another thing she suffered from is an addiction to plastic surgeries which began as she turned 18.
Chloe Lattanzi battled with alcohol and cocaine addiction which started in the 2000s. By 2013, however, she received treatment for the addiction. 4 years later, in 2017, engaged Chloe began to live with James Driskill, her fiancé in Oregon.
While in Oregon, Lattanzi, whose music career kickstarted in 2002, began to grow a marijuana farm as a business.
Matt’s daughter is the writer of the song ‘Can I Trust Your Arms’ and by 2010, she released her debut single titled ‘Wings and a Gun’. In 2016, her debut album was released and it was titled ‘No Pain’.
Until Olivia Newton-John’s death, she was pretty close to her daughter. The marijuana business Chloe runs is even dedicated to her mother. While suffering from cancer, Newton-John took cannabis to ease her pains, as prescribed to her.

Matt Lattanzi almost went off the radar at the end of his career in 1993. His divorce did not help the cause either, as one of the major reasons for his fame had ended. However, he resurfaced again sometime in 2008 to support his daughter who was in a competition.
Chloe Lattanzi was part of the ‘Rock the Cradle’ reality series and Matt made a brief appearance there. Unfortunately, the young lady did not win the competition but rather placed in 3rd position.
Since then, he has been reported to have lived off-the-grid near the Santa Monica beach known as Malibu. He has been an environmentalist who in 1993, moved his family to Australia in order to take care of their farm there.
Last heard of him stipulates that he is back home in Portland, Oregon.

Matt Lattanzi’s ex-wife had battled breast cancer for a long while. As of 2017, the cancer had spread to her lower back and caused her more pain. Prior, she fought the illness thrice with the first being in the early 90s, the second in 2013, and then in 2017.
By 2017, the cancer was at its 4 fourth stage and had to use cannabis oil. Interestingly, her family grew cannabis in Oregon and so she had a good supply of it to help with her case.
Unfortunately, Olivia Newton-John lost her battle with cancer on August 8, 2022. She died in her home in Santa Ynez, California. Dame Olivia Newton-John was 73 years old at the time of her passing. The daughter she had with Matt took to her Instagram page to share photos of her mother. She paid tributes to her through the posts she made.
Prior to her death, the singer, actress, and mother of one were worth $60 in net worth. Her ex-husband is however said to have a net worth of $1 million. They both acquired such amount of monies from their careers as entertainers in the American entertainment industry.
