Marciano Cantero’s Wife And Kids were an important part of the life of the Argentine singer and instrumentalist. Born Horatio Eduardo Cantero Hernández on August 25, 1960, he was married twice to Rocío Herrán whom he had a son, Javier Cantero with and Viviana, his second wife.

Aside from his personal life which he managed to keep private, he had a successful solo career as well as with the rock band Los Enanitos Verdes which he formed with two friends in 1979. Till his sad death on September 8, 2022, from a kidney problem, Cantero found success with songs like Luna Nueva and Beat Club.

She is the first wife of the music veteran, Marciano Cantero. Though the details about the year they got married is unclear, the couple is said to have gotten married in Argentina.

As it is, Rocío Herrán was with him till 2017 when they divorced. Since then, Marcino Cantero’s ex-wife has continued to keep a low profile making it difficult to track her activities and life after.

He is generally believed to have been married to only Rocío Herrán. Yet, at his death, he was married to Viviana. Reportedly, the singer’s love life with Viviana started years before he became the icon he was. He first met her in his hometown, Mendoza, and soon after, they started dating.

At the time, Viviana was 19 years old while he was 21 but it did not stop their love affair. Moreso, Viviana’s aunt, Lila helped him find a job tutoring her friend’s daughter.

Over time, his newly formed band started getting gigs. In 1984, Los Enanitos Verdes performed at the Festival de la Falda which led to more popularity for the band and the move to Buenos Aires.

Sadly for Marciano and Viviana’s budding relationship, it put a distance between them, and soon enough, they lost touch.

As it turned out, their love for each other did not die as they found a way to keep in touch. They started exchanging letters. These letters turned into a career milestone for him when he wrote Your Old Letters.

Even at that, they didn’t get back together. Viviana moved on with her life and pursued studies in nursing. Afterwhich she later married another man.

In a twist, he met with Viviana again in 2018. At the time, they both had married and gotten divorced from other partners. Unlike the other times, he went ahead to marry her on May 23, 2018.

Marciano Cantero Has One Known Son With His First Wife

Despite keeping the details about his private life quiet, at his death, it became obvious that the Argentine music sensation had a child named Javier Cantero.

Javier, born in 1992, revealed that he had a close relationship with his father. It was that relationship that led to his father writing one of his known songs, Amigos. Aside from this, it is unclear whether Javier was the only child of his famous father.

The Truth About His Death

His death on September 8, 2022, at the age of 62 was caused by a Kidney condition. Per his hospitalization in August 2022 due to abdominal pains at the Cuyo clinic, one of his kidneys and a part of his spleen were removed.

In the ensuing days, the instrumentalist and leader of the Los Enanitos Verdes did not get better. Marciano Cantero’s death was confirmed on the official Instagram account of the band when it shared a black ribbon and later uploaded Cantero’s picture.

While his death is quite shocking to many fans, his son, Javier revealed that he was happy for the years they had spent. He also revealed that the iconic singer who died in his place of birth, Mendoza died surrounded by his family and friends.
