It’s approaching a decade since Lord Infamous passed on but his memory and lyrics are still fresh in the minds of numerous hip hop fans. Among other things, the American rapper was admired for being a generous artist. On several occasions, it has been expressed that he never cared about living a life of luxury or accumulating wealth.
The Infamous Lord was only passionate about making people around him happy. As such, he found it very fulfilling to create music that kept people entertained.
More often than not, his lyrics revolved around violent and dark themes ranging from crime to mass murder and satanism. Infamous is definitely most remembered for co-founding Three 6 Mafia, a Memphis rap group he co-founded with DJ Paul, his half-brother.

How Old Was Lord Infamous and How Did He Start His Career
The rapper from Memphis, Tennessee was named Ricky Dunigan after his birth on the 17th of November 1973. He died on the 20th of December 2013; from that, anyone can easily figure out that he passed when he was only 40 years old. The late musician was known with other names like King of Horrorcore, Tha Terrible, Scarecrow, and Keyser Soze.
To the best of our knowledge, Lord Infamous kicked off his career in 1991 alongside DJ Paul. About two years later, sometime in 1993, the brothers decided to partner with Juicy J – another rapper from Memphis who doubles as a producer.
The three and other local rappers would eventually form a group they called The Backyard Posse which later metamorphosed to become Triple 6 Mafia. As they were good at what they were out to do, it was only a matter of time before they landed their first record deal with Nick Scarfo and Prophet Posse.
It was under the label that Lord Infamous dropped “Lord of Terror” which went down as his first solo album. Meanwhile, his group also released their first underground album with the label; that was in 1994 and the album was titled “Smoked Out, Loced Out.”
The following year saw the group change its name to Three 6 Mafia. With that, they dropped “Mystic Stylez”, their debut album while Juicy J and DJ Paul worked on creating Hypnotized Minds, their record company. Unsurprisingly, Tha Terrible became a part of it.
Over the years, he got to drop four more albums with the group while releasing a good number of solo projects. Even though several members of the group left for various reasons, Lord Infamous remained loyal until 2006 when he was left with little option but to leave Three 6 Mafia due to a jail term that resulted in a breach of contract with Sony.
How Did His Career Progress After He Left Three 6 Mafia
Leaving the group he co-founded wasn’t what Lord Infamous wanted but as fate would have it, he had to move on with his career. To actualize that, the first thing Infamous did was to form a partnership with yet another Memphis rapper called II Tone.
With his new partner, he founded a record company named Black Rain Entertainment. It wasn’t long before the two started attracting other rappers from the area.
They had a good time together, dropping a handful of group albums and EP’s. While at it, Lord didn’t forsake his solo career; he released a few solo albums and even worked with DJ Paul for the latter’s 2009 album.
For fans of Three 6 Mafia, it was a big deal when Lord Infamous got together with other original members of the group in 2013 to form Da Mafia 6ix.
November of that same year, they made their debut with a mixtape titled “6ix Commandments”. What was to follow was a studio album the following year. While the hip-hop community awaited the album, it emerged that Lord Infamous had passed on.
