Leslie Allen Jordan was born on April 29, 1955, in Chattanooga, Tennesse, to Peggy Ann (nee Griffin) and Allen Bernard Jordan, a United States Army officer. He lost his father in a plane crash when he was just 11 years old. Jordan acknowledges he got his sense of humor from his father.
Jordan studied theatre at the University of Tennessee. He worked with horses and also thought of becoming a Jockey at a point in his life.
In 1982, at the age of 27, Leslie moved to Los Angeles, hungry for fame. Unfortunately, he got involved with drugs and alcohol, which led to him being arrested several times. He then decided to start journaling, which helped him overcome his addiction and he remained sober for up to 13 years.

Leslie Jordan went on to appear in several movies and before the end of the decade, he became a known name in Hollywood. The veteran actor was cast in movies like “Ski Patrol” (1990), “Goodbye Lover” (1998), “Love Ranch” (2010), and “Lucky Dog” (2014).
The veteran actor also had a successful career in television, His character in “Will and Smith” earned him an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, in 2006. Other TV series he featured in include “The People Next Door” (1989), “Perfect Strangers” (1992), “The Game” (2012), and “Desperate Housewives” (2011).

Leslie had twin sisters, Janet and Jana, they were 22 months younger than him. The 3 siblings shared a very strong bond and the actor refers to the twins as his inspiration.
Sadly in April 2022, he announced that Janet, one of the twins had passed. While mourning her, he acknowledged that she courageously fought death but she lost and that the world would be a duller place without her.
Again in May 2022, Leslie announced the death of his mother, Peggy on his Instagram. He did not reveal the cause of her death.
The actor has never been married, he publicly came out as gay. He revealed that ever since he was 14, he knew he was different because he liked boys. As a child, he would go on to get baptized up to 14 times because he felt he was a sinner for liking boys. However, as he continued to grow he raised he was created differently and embraced his sexuality.
The actor never got married but has been in long-term relationships with gay and “straight men”. Leslie did not reveal any of his partners but he has been with the same person for 10 years.

The US Sun reported that the accident occurred on Monday morning at about 9:30 am, at Cahuenga Boulevard and Romaine Street, where a male adult was declared dead on the scene of the accident. The male adult happened to be actor and singer, Leslie Jordan.
Leslie Jordan was loved by many, he was full of talent and a unique sense of humor. He is mourned by his family, friends, and fans. Some other famous people who died in 2022 include Jesse Powell, Jean-Luc Godard, Mika Ben, and Anne Heche.
