It was when Luis Angel was with Hector Varela’s orchestra that he had his name changed to Jorge Falcon. With the adoption of the new pseudonym, Jorge had his debut as a singer on the 12th of October 1976.

1. The Beginning Of Jorge Falcon’s Music Career
As earlier stated, Jorge started singing from a very young age. By the age of 13, he had started performing and even recorded his first single. He interpreted songs while still in primary school and also won an interpretation contest on Channel 7.
The Argentine singer joined singing groups and bands such as Tango 5, Buenos Aires 5, Jorge de Luca orchestra, and Gabriel Clausi. He also joined Hector Varela’s orchestra where his career skyrocketed and he became very famous. Jorge found favor with Varela and he was a huge determining factor in his growth and success as a singer. Luis recorded a lot of songs including duets with Fernando Soler.
2. Why He Started His Solo Career
After working alongside Hector Varela, he was encouraged and even pushed into taking up a solo career. When he began a solo career, CBS – Sony Music group hired him to join their record label. He recorded most of his songs with the label and even released his first album with them in 1987. By 1984 Jorge Falcon recorded his most successful albums titled ‘El Amor desolado’.
3. He Had A Wife And Kid
Luis Angel Iglesias who is also known as Jorge Falcon got married to a woman recognized as Alicia Capuzzo. Their union produced one child whom they named Adrian.
4. Jorge Falcon Had Cancer
In the 1980s Jorge battled with cancer and although he got intense treatment, he wasn’t totally healed. Luis was treated with meticulous oncology resources, however, he did not fully recover.
5. He Died In 1987
By 1986, Luis Angel was involved in a car accident and after a while, he had a situation while performing in Rosario. During the presentation, Jorge Falcon fainted and was rushed to a local clinic where he was admitted.
It was later revealed that he fainted not as a result of the shock he suffered from the accident but as a result of his ill health. Since he was not fully recovered from cancer, the surgery he underwent did little to ameliorate his health.
Luis Angel Iglesias also known as Jorge Falcon eventually died on the dawn of Thursday, July 2, 1987, at the Sanatoria de Artistas de Variedades located in San Telmo. Noteworthy, Jorge Falcon’s motivation, Hector Varela died about 6 months before Jorge’s death.
