Jesse Rutherford is the lead vocalist of the rock band, The Neighbourhood. The 33-year-old American singer-songwriter started appearing in television commercials and movie roles at a tender age. Also, as a teenager, he was the lead vocalist of quite a number of local bands.

Who is Jesse Rutherford?
Born August 21, 1991, Rutherford grew up in Newbury Park, California. He grew up with his only sister. Jesse Rutherford is a 2011 graduate of Newbury Park High School. Reports say he lost his father when he was still very young.
Growing up, he got involved in the entertainment industry which led to him performing in several talent shows and television commercials. In 2002, he got a small role in the movie, Life or Something Like It, Star Trek: Enterprise, and later Ted Bundy.
In addition to the minor acting roles he got as a teenager, he also formed quite a number of bands in which he also served as the lead vocalist. According to reports, the Newbury artist served as the lead vocalist of a band called “Curicula” in August 2008.
He Began His Solo Career in 2011 before The Neighbourhood was Formed
Jesse Rutherford started gaining prominence in the late 2000s when he began singing in local bands. Before the end of 2010, he had already recorded a couple of collaborative songs under his hip-hop alias “Jesse James”.
He also released a mixtape with the title Truth Hurts, Truth Heals in 2011. Having done that, he decided to form a new band with some local musicians. In no time, Jesse and his friends formed “The Neighborhood”.
The Neighbourhood, often referred to as THE NBHD comprises not less than five members including Jesse and bassist Mikey Margot. In 2012, the band released its first single Female Robbery and Sweater Weather. The latter became a radio hit which even made the number one spot on the Billboard Alternative Songs charts in June 2013.
Together with the band, the singer performed in several festivals like the 2013 & 2018 Coachella. Despite the success he had with the band, he later branched out and started releasing songs under the name “the Factoury” on Soundcloud. On November 10, 2017, he released his debut solo album, and on December 17, 2018, he announced that he was going on his first solo tour in 2019.
On April 2, 2019, The Neighbourhood lead vocalist revealed his second album, GARAGEB& would be released officially on April 12, 2019. The title of the album was inspired by his ability to use the GarageBand app to make music while trying to stay away from social media.

There are strong indications that Jesse Rutherford and Billie Eilish are currently dating. This has stirred different reactions from netizens. The rumors began after the pair were reportedly spotted holding hands on October 15, 2022. Also, TMZ reported that the alleged couple has been seen on a couple of dates before the news of the possible romance between them.
The viral video, which was shared by Elish’s brother, Finneas further confirmed the rumors. A couple of days later, a Twitter user shared another photo of the duo eating at a restaurant.
While neither Rutherford nor Eilish have confirmed the dating rumors, their fans are not taking the news likely.
