Hugh Jackman, the Australian actor, singer, and producer, and Sutton Foster, the American actress, have officially brought their relationship into the public eye.
Both Jackman, the 56-year-old Oscar-nominated Logan star and the Foster, the 49-year-old Tony award-winner were seen together on Monday (January 7) fondly holding each other’s hands while making their way back from a dinner date in Santa Monica, California.
In the now-viral photos, which were published by People Magazine, the couple, who reportedly began their secret affair while co-starring together and still married to their exes, are seen smiling as they stroll down a sidewalk in Los Angeles. Other images capture them chatting as they cross the street.
Hugh Jackman was photographed in a blue turtleneck, a dark zip-up bomber jacket, white pants, and blue sneakers. On the other hand, Foster was seen wearing a long camel-colored trench coat over a gray dress, paired with black pointed-toe pumps.
An eyewitness, who was present when the couple was seen together, told Page Six how they saw the couple “walking hand in hand” just before the paparazzi “jumped out and snapped a few shots.”
The couple’s public display of affection comes following Jackman’s attendance at Foster’s performance of Once Upon A Mattress at the Ahmanson Theater in Los Angeles on January 4.
Rumors that the two were more than just friends have been circulating ever since they co-starred in The Music Man on Broadway from December 2021 to January 2023. The rumors intensified after Us Weekly published a report, citing sources who claimed that Jackman and Foster’s romance began during the musical’s run.
Recall that in October 2024, Sutton Foster filed for an uncontested divorce from her husband of 10 years, Ted Griffin, an American screenwriter. The couple shares one child from their marriage. Meanwhile, Jackman has two children with his ex-wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness. The former couple, who married in 1996, announced their separation in September 2023.
At the time they filed their divorce, Jackman and Furness shared a joint statement to their fans.
