Henry Kissinger’s Children, Elizabeth Kissinger, and David Kissinger are mostly known because of the ties they share with their father, Henry Kissinger – an American politician who served as the United States Secretary of State and security advisor under the presidential administration of Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.
Elizabeth is Henry’s first child and she is only in the spotlight as a celebrity kid. However, in addition to being a celebrity kid, David is a television producer and executive. He has worked on TV shows like Eagleheart (2011-2012), People of the Earth (2016), and Final Space (2018 – 2021).
Elizabeth and David are Products of Their Father’s 15 Years of Marriage with Ann Fleischer
Throughout his life, Henry Kissinger has been married twice. His first marriage was to his high school sweetheart, Ann Fleischer. The pair began dating in high school and got married on February 6, 1949, while Kissinger was schooling at Havard.
Their marriage was subsequently blessed with two kids; David and Elizabeth. However, Henry and Fleischer decided to divorce in 1964, 15 years into their wedding. Also, they did not reveal the reason for their separation. At the time of their separation, Elizabeth was 5 years old while David was 3.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth and David’s mum moved on and married Dr. Saul G. Cohon, a scientist, and professor of chemistry at Brandeis University. Elizabeth and David lived with their mother and stepfather who later died from heart failure in 2010.
On the other hand, Henry dated Austrian poet, Ingeborg Bachmann for several years, but never got to marry her. Instead, he married Nancy Maginnes on March 30, 1974, in Arlington, Virginia.

Elizabeth Kissinger
Elizabeth is the first child of Henry and Fleischer. She was born in Boston on 27 March 1959 and is currently 65 years old. Elizabeth is mostly known as a celebrity kid who chooses to keep her life out of the spotlight.
David Kissinger
David was born on July 31, 1961, in Boston, United States of America as the second child of Henry and his estranged wife, Fleischer. He is currently 63 years old.
Unlike his sister, David is seen in public and there is a good amount of information about him.
David studied History at Yale University and graduated in 1983. He later began his career as a speech writer in England where he worked for a year. Afterward, he returned to the United States to attend a New York law school. Upon graduation, the celebrity kid worked briefly in the First Circuit Court of Appeals and also did some private practice before he took to freelancing and later joined Variety magazine in Los Angeles.
While working with Variety Magazine in 1992, David met Dean Valentine of Disney who offered him a job with Disney’s television network division. 3 years later, in 1995, David rose through the ranks to become vice president of development at Disney television’s network division.
Moreover, he worked and served as an executive with NBC Universal Television Studio before becoming head of Conaco, Conan O’Brien’s production company, in 2005.
As a television producer and executive, he has worked on several popular TV shows, like Andy Baker, P.I (2007) Eagleheart (2011-2012) People of Earth (2016), and People of the Earth (2016).
Their Father Died at the age of 100
Elizabeth and David’s father, Henry Kissinger was born on May 27, 1923, and passed on November 29, 2023, aged 100. He died of unspecified causes in his home in Kent, Connecticut.
Meanwhile, Henry was a Jewish refugee who came to the U.S. in 1938, when he and his family fled Germany to avoid further Nazi persecution. His family briefly stopped in London before arriving in New York City on September 5, 1938.
Henry attended George Washington High School and later City College of New York to study accounting. However, in 1943, he was drafted into the Army, leading to the disruption of his studies. He would later continue his studies at Havard University where he bagged his first, master’s, and doctorate degrees.
As earlier mentioned, Henry previously served as United States secretary of state. He was also a vibrant American diplomat, political scientist, geopolitical consultant, and politician.
Throughout his lifetime, he clinched several honors and awards including a Nobel Peace Prize for his works on the Paris Peace Accords which prompted the withdrawal of American forces from the Vietnam War in 1973. Also, In 2023, the father of two received the Bavarian Maximilian Order for Science and Art from Minister-President of Bavaria Markus Söder.
Henry is survived by his second wife, Nancy Maginnes Kissinger. Also to mourn him are his 2 kids, Elizabeth, and David whom he had with his first wife, Ann Fleischer.
