The Greg Kihn Band is an American pop-rock band. It was formed in 1976 by Greg Kihn who is also the frontman of the band. The first lineup of the band included Steve Wright (bass), Robbie Dunbar (guitar) and Larry Lynch (drummer), and Greg Kihn himself.
Greg Kihn is an American rock singer-songwriter who began his career at the tender age of 17. He is also an author and has published quite a number of horror novels.
The band he formed still exists but with a different lineup. The lineup consists of Greg’s son Ry Kihn (lead guitar), Dave Danza (drummer), Dave Medd (keyboards), and Robert Berry (bass).

Greg Kihn
Greg Kihn began his career in music in his hometown, Baltimore. He wrote songs and played music in coffee houses while he was still in high school. His original songs were submitted to the talent contest of the local top 40 radio station by his mother when he was 17. He won the contest and was given a typewriter, a stack of records, and a VOX electric guitar.
The 75 years old musician has quite a number of hit songs that made it during his time. He still performs in public events and charity events or promoted events.
He has also done charity work for “Operation Care and Comfort”.
He also works for the children’s hospital in Oakland California especially those battling cancer.
Greg Kihn was nominated for the 2010 Man of the Year award by the Lymphoma Society. In 2007, he has inducted into the San Jose Rock Hall of Fame.
Ry Kihn
Ry Kihn is currently the guitarist and keyboardist of the Greg Kihn Band. He grew up watching his father sing and that motivated him to enroll in the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
He has worked with big-name rock artists like Eddie Money, Joe Satriani, and Billy Idol among others. Ry Kihn also worked as a guitarist on his dad’s KFOX morning radio show for more than 10 years.
Robert Berry
Robert Berry is a Grammy-nominated recording artist and vocalist best known for his work with Hush, Carl Palmer, Los Tres Gusanos, and currently Greg Kihn’s band.
Robert Berry is the leader of December people who produces Christmas music. The group has produced four albums of Christmas songs and makes the music arranged in the style of different classic rock artists. The songs are performed during the holidays.

Larry Lynch
Larry Lynch is a talented vocalist and songwriter. He is the former drummer for the Greg Kihn Band. He left the band in 1986. His current band is called “Larry Lynch and the Mob”.
Dave Carpender
Dave Carpender was an American musician and guitarist for the Greg Kihn Band from 1976 to 1983. He died at the age of 57 as a result of heart failure in 2007.
Jimmy Lyon
Jimmy Lyon joined the Greg Kihn band in 1987 as the guitarist. He worked with Eddie Money in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He was also the lead guitarist for the Tina Turner Private Dancer tour in 1985.
