Fukkit is an American rapper who rose to fame through his rather interesting lyrics and not so conventional music style. While he might not be the biggest in the rap scene, he still manages to have a good space most especially in Miami, Florida where he is base.

Also a punk and metal, Fukkit he has been in the music scene for a long time, with a few albums to his name. There are many interesting things to know about him.

1. The rapper was raised in Miami

Of Cuban and Puerto Rican background, the rapper was born on  January 29, 1997, in Miami Florida and it was there that he was raised. In fact, he spent his entire life, thus far, there. When he was a kid, he learned to read very early and because of that, he got to be on a gifted program by the time he started schooling.

More so, when he was in elementary school, the rapper always had good grades because he was very focused thanks to his mum. By the time he got to middle school, so much had changed about him as he was now more rebellious.

2. He was born when his mother was still very young

When he was still a toddler, Fukkit revealed that his mum was still in college where she was studying medicine to become a nurse. His father, on the other hand, worked for a manufacturing company. His mother would go on to practice as a nurse for a long time before becoming a case manager for other nurses.

Because his mother was still in school when he was little, his grandparents also helped in bringing him up. He didn’t get to see much of her because she was working and schooling at the same time.

3. The first rap song he listened to was Eminem

The Miami rapper revealed that when he was still a child, his father was always playing rap music in his car and a boombox in his room. He was a big 2Pac fan, although he was also almost always playing the Notorious BIG. Thanks to this, Fukkit grew up listening to classical rappers including NAS, NWA, and much more.

However, the first rap song he listened to as a kid, was Eminem’s song from The Eminem Show album.

The first genre of music that he found himself falling in love with was metal before he was later drawn to rap music.

4. His music career began since the age of 17

While he was growing up, Fukkit had not always had an interest in becoming a rapper, until he was 17 around 2014. According to him, since he fell in love with rap music and decided that was what he wanted to do, it is the only thing he now knows how to do; he has no other hobbies or anything else that could draw his attention from music. He hardly goes out, and so he gives his musical career almost all he has.

5. How he came by the name, Fukkit

After his first song, which was a freestyle together with a bunch of friends including Sabino, whom he has worked with on a number of tracks, the rapper wanted sharing it on Soundcloud, but then he realized he had no name. After 10 minutes of thinking of a name, his friend said: “men, f***k it, we would think about it later.” It was at that moment that he decided his name would be Fukkit.

Although a lot of people try pronouncing it in different ways, he said the right pronunciation of the name is “F***K it,” with two K.

6. He built his music style 

Although he has made it clear that he has been influenced through his career by others, he was the one that built his music style from the ground. Nonetheless, his genre is closer to hip hop and rock than anything else.

7. Fukkit has maintained his independence in his career

SInce he started out as a rapper, Fukkiy has always remained on his own. He has never had any kind of support in the form of promotion or backing from anyone else or even from the industry. More so, he has never worked with any label.

8. He can be very problematic

One interesting revelation the rapper has made about himself is that he can be very problematic. He has never held himself back from saying his mind to anybody and he could use the F word on anyone without a care in the world. However, he also claims that he is now growing up with each day, and getting better.

9. Was once in a group, Members Only, with XXXTentacion

The Miami based rapper was once in a group with the late rapper, XXXTentacion, known as Members Only. The group was originally formed in 2014 by X and  Ski Mask the Slump God after the two met in a juvenile detention camp. Fukkit joined the group through the Slump God in 2015 and joined the group in releasing the EP, Members Only, Vol. 1.

Unfortunately, due to an unknown beef, the rapper left the group in 2017 and since then, he has continued his career as a solo artist. However, in 2018, he linked up with Dutchman to release the album, Scratch Paper.

10. Fukkit now has two albums and two EPs
