The Missouri rock “n” roll band is a quintet led by Ryan Cheney as the lead vocalist. Its current members are:
Ryan Cheney, the lead vocal and leader of the band,
Matt Amelung, he plays guitar and vocals,
Matt Benne, he also plays the guitar and drums like the other Matt,
Coco, handles bass for the band
The fifth member of the band is Derrick Huskey. He plays drums for the fivefold band.

How Was Fivefold Band formed?
The band was formed in 2007 in St Louise, Missouri. The first members to meet were Derrick and Matt Benne. The two met through late member, Jesse.
Derrick and Ryan met through a church camp they were both attending. Somehow all thses acquaintances merged.
After many changes of their line up, they brought in Coco who was playing shows with his former band. Matt Amelung was the last person to be brought to the lineup in 2014. He had produced their song, Hold On in 2013.
At first they played at Benne’s parents basement. There first show as a band as in a park. They lost Jesse at a time when the band was gaining popularity.

1. They Had Played With Different Bands
The present line up of the band all started with other bands before coming together to form the band. They had played with other local St Louis band and now call Fivefolds band their home.
Bandmates borrow a lot from earlier experience to produce material for the band. Do not be surprised if you begin to hear something that sounds alike with that of another band, you know the secret.
2. How Did They Come About The Band Name, Fivefold
Fivefolds settled on the name to reflect what their band should look like. Initially, they didn’t know what to name the band. Just like other bands, the did the dictionary work, lol
In the end, they settled for Fivefolds, it describes five different parts that come together to get to one goal. Interestingly, there are five members in the band, well, do the math.

However, after meeting Derrick and jamming songs together, he took Derricks advice to try out for their new band.
5. The Band Did A Trade off With Jim Storey
Despite all the fiannacial investment he made in the band, he never asked them gor reimbursement. They only had a trade off. He was going to pay for a full album and they were to remember him when they made it big.
He also wanted them to do yardwork for him, this was nothing compared to all he had done for them. They did his landscaping for him which was something Derrick had a background in.
6. Jim’s Diagnosis Affected The Band
For the early years of the band, Jim had been their greatest cheerleader. He was diagnosed with a terminal illness. That period was a challenging one for the band as he had become a father figure to them.
7. Fivefold Song, The Story Was Written For Jim
Having agreed to support the band all the way, they band wrote The Story to identify with what Jim was going through.
As one of their greatest supporters, they were in tune with the pains of his terminal illness. Jason McIntyre dedicated his time to make sure the song was a success.
After Jim heard the song, he pushed them to do an acoustic version.
